Chapter 12

KAYDEN

Kayden smiled softly as he watched Lu roam around the kitchen. The soup he was cooking smells good, and he's currently cooking the main dish.

"What are you gonna cook, baby?" tanong ni Kayden sa lalaki, the endearment passing through his lips naturally. His mind spun around in circles, a complicated feeling bursting inside him.

He heard the smile accross Lucian's lips as the man answered him. "Honey garlic chicken fingers. Liam loves this dish," sagot ng binata sa kanya.

Kayden smirked. "You're smiling aren't you?" Pagsisimula niya ng pang-aasar sa kasama.

Lucian whirled around and put both his hands on his hips as he frowned. "And what are you implying, you fucker?" Masungit na tanong nito habang pinanliliitan siya ng mata.

Tumawa naman si Kayden sa tono nito. "Nothing, I was merely stating a fact."

"At sa anong part ng mukha ko ako nakangiti?" Lucian snapped.

Kayden stood up and approached the guy, holding both his wrists and removing it from Lucian's hips. He held onto it and looked Lu in the eyes. "You were smiling kanina eh, when I called you baby," he whispered softly.

Lu turned red as he pulled on his wrists na hawak ni Kayden. He let him break free. "I was not smiling though," sagot nito bago tumalikod ulit.

The man returned to the dish he was preparing, at namayani ang katahimikan sa kanilang dalawa.

"You'd make a perfect partner," Kayden said casually.

Nakita niya naman ang sandaling pagtigil ni Lu sa ginagawa, bago ulit ito nagpatuloy. "I doubt it. Do you know how bad my reputation is within the city? Hindi mo ba narinig yung mga rumors about me fucking here and there?" Tanong nito sa kanya with a light chuckle.

And of course Kayden heard about the rumors. Kung gaano karaming babae na ang naikama ni Engr. Lucian Alegre. Sikat si Lu sa business world hindi lang dahil sa ito ang pinakamagaling na Design Engineer sa Helios, the top company in the Philippines. Sumikat din ang binata dahil sa sobrang notorious na pambababae nito.

Well, technically, he was not committing to anything, saad ni Kayden sa sarili.

"So, how many would you say you've bedded?" Balik na tanong ni Kayden sa kausap.

Lu hummed before answering. "I don't really know. Pero hindi naman ako careless when sleeping around. I take tests every month to ensure my well-being. I use contraceptives din para walang hassle," saad ng lalaki bago humarap sa kanya at ngumiti ng tipid. "I would love to have my own children someday, but I'm not irresponsible to impregnate a woman without planning about it."

"Your principles are tough," komento ni Kayden.

Lucian chuckled before going back to the dish. Pini-prito na ito ngayon ng lalaki. "My principles are absolute."

Kayden shrugged his shoulders. In-expect niya na na ganoon ang pagpapahalaga ng binata sa mga prinsipyo nito. One of the attractive things about Lucian.
