Arien and Arjen's POV-
It took only several seconds for the atmosphere to become almost suffocating. In that short amount of time, Arien and Arjen found themselves sandwiched in a bone-crushing hug.
Arjen glared discreetly at the offending arm, which belonged to the third prince.
'Get off us! We're not close!'
Of course, Eiji did not hear their complaints and simply continued to hug the two tightly and affectionately. Soon, however, they found themselves staring at the benign, but strangely menacing, smile of the second prince.
"Eiji...Let go of them."
Alec continued smiling, his voice as gentle as ever. However, this prompted Eiji, Arien, and Arjen to tremble fearfully.
Eiji, however, was able to muster the courage to retort back. Even so, his voice shook as he stuttered.
"W-why! Y-you already h-have Arden. Am I not a-allowed to have Arien and Arjen?"
The corners of Alec's lips began to twitch in an attempt to maintain the gentle smile that graced his face.
"How is it fair for you to have both Arien and Arjen?"
The argument dragged on, until Arien could no longer continue to hold back her anger.
"STOP! STOP TALKING ABOUT US LIKE WE'RE OBJECTS! WE'RE NOT OBJECTS!"
Her loud voice ended the argument, and everyone turned to look at her as she huffed, her face red with anger.
Alec quickly regained his composure.
"Oh! How could I have forgotten? Which one of us do you like more, Arien and Arjen?"
Arjen shrugged while Arien remained thoughtful.
"I want to get to know big brother Eiji more. Is that okay?"
Eiji's face visibly brightened as he began to hug Arien and Arjen once again.
"Of course!"
