"You're not leaving. You're lucky we aren't moving." Polo tells me. He must've been eavesdropping on my phone call.

"Well, quite frankly I don't care. My friend needs my help. She's the only girl friend I have at this point. Ever since Allison switched up then switched back, I hadn't really talked to her. I just want to be there for Lydia. She's gone through a lot on her own, I don't want that to keep happening" I explained.

Polo stood there and ultimately gave in. "Fine, but-"

"No buts I cut him off. Bye, Polito, love ya" I said as I darted out of my house.

••••

"So what's going on with Lydia?" I asked Stiles as I fastened my seat belt.

"I don't know but we'll figure it out when we get there." he tells me.

Stiles stopped the car at what seemed to be some sort of pool. I'd never been there before.

We rushed out of his car calling for her.

"What happened? Are you okay?" I asked her.

"I'm okay, that over there, is not okay" she told us.

We looked up to one of the lifeguard chairs to see a dead body with a pool of blood underneath it.

"Yeah, alright, I'm gonna call my dad" Stiles tells her.

"I already called 911".

"You called the police before you called me?" Stiles asks her.

"I'm supposed to call you first when I find a dead body?" she asks.

"Yes!" Stiles and I yell at the same time.

Stiles takes out his phone and calls Scott to tell him that it was Derek and the girl that was with him. Scott tells him to examine the body and make sure that it was them.

I looked at the body as well and noticed zip tie on the boys wrist and a purity ring on his finger. That didn't seem like something a werewolf would do.

••••

"How do you think she came across the body?" I asked Stiles as he started to drive to the hospital. "I don't know."

Once we arrived to the hospital, Stiles rushed inside with me right behind him.

Melissa, Scott's mom led us to the morgue without Stiles really needing to say anything.

"See these marks around his neck? That's a ligature mark. That means that he was strangled with something, like cord, rope-" Melissa started.

"Wait, what kind of werewolf strangles someone? That's not very... werewolf-y". Stiles noted.

"At the pool he had zip tie around his wrists. That's also not very uh, werewolf-y" I chimed in.

"My thoughts exactly. And then there's this" Melissa says as she goes to show a hole in the body's head. "See the indentation? He was hit in the back of the head. Hard enough to kill him. In fact, any one of these things could have killed him."

"Then this couldn't have been Boyd or Cora. Right?" I asked.

"Maybe it's just a coincidence" Stiles thought aloud.

"I don't think it is," Melissa started, "Because that body right there has the same injuries" she told us nodding towards it.

Melissa uncovered the body and once Stiles saw her, he froze. It was Heather front the other night.

I didn't know what to do hug him? Or do I just let him grieve? It's all new.

His face then lit up as if he had just thought about something.

"Has anyone else been through here tonight? You know bodies or missing?" he asked.

Melissa replied with no bodies but a girl with an injury and a girlfriend that hadn't been found yet.

Stiles attempted to go find the girl but Melissa stopped him, wanting more details as to why he needed to find her so bad. I was wondering the same thing.

Eventually Melissa let him into the room where I waited outside to keep watch. Stiles got out of here that the missing girl was also a virgin. Same as the body at the pool. And Heather. But what did all of this mean? Why were virgins being killed?

••••

"Are you serious Emilia?! The sun has already come out. You're so lucky Dad went to sleep before you left. What happened?"

"Well, Lydia found a body. And the girl that disappeared a bit ago, well she was found dead too. And there's another. But they all have two things in common".

"What? Is this something we're gonna tell Dad or-"

"No, we can't Polo. All three were virgins. And they were all killed the same way. Stiles' guess is human sacrifice. I don't know what to make of it or what to-"

Polo grabbed me. He must've seen the tears starting to fall down my face. There are times when I think I can't handle this. Or be around this life anymore. This is one of them. As much of a fight I put to stay here, the reality of Beacon Hills weighs on me more and more each day.

A/N: I wouldn't call this chapter short per say, but it's diffidently short, sorry!
