A/N: Ahhh!!!! Posted chapter 10! I am so excited! I'm thinking after every 10 chapters, I'll upload extras like this!
I like to imagine what it would be like if Kinoko were a playable character, so these are some voice lines she would have, around the timeline of Chapter 10.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello: "Hey, nice to meet you! I'm Kinoko! No no, just Kinoko. I don't have a last name or anything like that. Do you need help? I can navigate you around Sumeru! Or...you might need help getting designs for buildings and sculptures? Actually, wait-you should probably ask my senior Kaveh. Anyway, I'll try not to fail you, whatever the task is!"Chat: Memories: "Can weapons hold memories? Maybe my scythe is enchanted like my pouch?"
Chat: Danger: "*Branch snaps* Huh? W-what was that? Oh, please don't try to kill me...I get in enough danger as it is..."
About Wanderer: "Oh...him? We do commissions together. Uh, you want to know my opinions about him? I have a lot of opinions about a lot of people. Hm...what? Uhm, well I mean, he's a real pain to be around, yup! You just have to get used to it."
About Wanderer: "He's the key to finding out my past, and he probably knows me more than I know myself. I really hope I don't bother him when we talk about his time as The Balladeer...I always get the feeling he doesn't want to bring up painful memories. I want to ask what happened back then, but I don't think it's a wise option...heh..."
About Tighnari: "Tighnari is the one that found me four years ago and saved my life. He named me, and even let me stay in Gandharva Ville. He's one of the most generous people you can meet, really, and he's like an older brother to me."
About Collei: "At first, I didn't want to meet Collei. I hated people. But I'm so glad I did. Back then, she was just like me. Scared of the world, and scared of messing things up. Even though I had problems of my own, I still wanted to help her. So naturally, I was like an older sister to her. I'm so proud of her now. We've both grown, and we're much more confident and strong. She's going to make an excellent forest ranger someday, no doubt."
About Kaveh: "Kaveh really deserves a break. One without alcohol involved. He does so much at his job, and even takes the time to be my tutor. I don't know how he does it. But no matter how many times I try to tell him to skip a lesson, he refuses. I'm actually saving up some mora for his next birthday. He needs a boost to get him going, and finally be able to pay his debt."
About Cyno: "When I first met the General Mahamatra, he started asking me so many questions about things I couldn't even remember. He has such an intimidating personality too...I've been scared of him since. Though, I heard he's actually a caring and fun guy at heart, I just don't get enough courage to spend enough time with him. Even so, whenever he visits Gandharva Ville, he brings me a small gift and tells me a really bad joke or two-probably to make me feel more comfortable. Now that you mention him, have you noticed the way he looks at Tighnari, or is that just me?"
About Nahida: "You've met her, right? I've never spoke with someone for so short and already felt comfortable with them. Maybe it's some sort of magic, but anyway, I truly do admire her. Even though I don't worship the archons, she doesn't demand it and makes us first and foremost friends. Now that's a true leader."
About Layla: "I've met Layla a few times, but all of which she was half-asleep. That girl should get some rest! I can't believe she's gone so long without sleep, and is still not sick!"
About Faruzan: "Faruzan talks a lot. And she overuses her power as my senior a bit too much. Other than that, she's kindhearted, and can be really helpful when I get lost in the Akademiya."
About Alhaitham: "I don't know when he's in a good mood, or a bad mood. He's not my ideal person to talk to all of the time, but sometimes I like to borrow some of the books in his office and decipher them like puzzles. That was way back when I had too much free time though..."
About Ataru: "I met her in the desert, then she visited Sumeru for a while. During that time, I bumped into her a lot and I guess we just...clicked. She's protective of her village, and her people, and she has a strength I admire. I can see how much of a role model she is to the younger ones."
About Kame: "After learning more about my past, I wish I could go back to Liyue and apologize to her. Who knows? Maybe she just knew me back then, and wasn't after me."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Facts about Kinoko:
Her "birthday" is on May 16th, the day she was found. Tighnari on the most part assumed she looked around 16, so that's what they said her age was at the time.
Kinoko is an anemo pole arm that wields a scythe. (Yes, just like Arlecchino, but Arlecchino wasn't even out when I came up with this.) Her elemental skill allows her to turn invisible and leave small blades in her tracks that attack enemies. Her elemental burst increases anemo dmg of her party, and heals a bit of her hp.
Her favorite color is pink!
If she were in Genshin Impact, she would be a 4 star considering she's not the best fighter.

A/N: And here's an extra scene I wrote! This takes place in the 3 week timeline between chapter 8 and 9.)Tighnari, Collei, and Kinoko all lay on a picnic blanket in the Avidya Forest, catching up and talking about the most randomest things.
"So where have you been all this time on weekends?" Tighnari asked. He had his hands behind his head as he stared up at the sky.
Kinoko shrugged. "Commissions? You guys know this!"
Collei scrunched up her face. "Oh come on! You've been heading out to do commissions with the strange hat guy!" She said, nudging Kinoko in the shoulder.
"Yup. Hat Guy. We keep getting assigned to do commissions together." Kinoko said. She decided to leave the part about the deal. She wasn't ready to tell them about her past, especially with Collei's deep hatred for the Fatui.
Tighnari rolled his eyes. "Come on, you hang out with this new guy all the time all of a sudden! What's going on?"
Kinoko felt a blush creeping up her face. "No, not like that! There's nothing going on! On the contrary, he's really annoying." She shook it off. "Tighnari, you can't be talking to me about this when I see the way you look at Cyno, and how close you two are all the time, how you both "accidentally" touch hands."
Now it was Tighnari's turn to be flustered. "Sh-shh! What are you talking about?"
Collei sat up, looking straight at Tighnari. "Kin and I have been observing you two for weeks. We've come to the conclusion that you and Cyno are in a secret relationship." The other two sat up, and Kinoko nodded in agreement.
"That's ridiculous-why would I..." He watched the two girls' faces, and gave in. "Yeah, me and Cyno have been dating for a year. We didn't want it to get in the way of work, or anything."
Kinoko lept up, as well as Collei, both of them smiling. "I knew it!" They said in unison.
"We're so happy for you, Master Tighnari!" Collei said excitedly. Tighnari couldn't help but laugh, standing up as well.
"I appreciate it." Tighnari said. "Well, we should eat lunch now. I brought some pita pockets, though I think Collei's are getting even better than mine." He took out the food, and everyone began eating, chatting away.
