"Hey where were you?" Paige asked the girl as she came into the locker room, getting ready for practice. "I went out to breakfast with Lainey then I had a class" Sydney said, as she sat at her locker and tied her sneakers. The locker room was empty, just the two girls who sat in silence. Paige immediately frowned when she heard the name Lainey. She didn't reply, instead she crossed her arms and looked away.

"What's wrong with you?" Sydney asked, it accidentally coming out sassy. "Nothing! It's just all I hear lately is 'me and Lainey' this and 'Lainey" that. You're my girlfriend and you're spending all your time with her instead of me. Paige huffed. Sydney scoffed, "I'm aloud to have other friends! You hang out without me all the time" Sydney stood up.

This was kinda their thing, arguing, because they were both so stubborn and would never admit they were wrong. Before, in high school, the two never fought, they were inseparable and supported each other no matter what. They were so both in love with each other it made them go crazy. So now every little thing the other did made them go insane by overthinking. But there arguments lasted no longer than two days before they would admit to missing each other. Half of the times they can't remember what they were fighting about.

Sydney stormed off to the gym, her teammates messing around u til Geno walked in. "Okay ladies game day is in T-2 days! Let's get going with some 1 v 2s so split up into three lines!" Geno said, setti by his clipboard down on the table in front of him. Sydney waved to Lainey as the dirty blonde walked into the gym.

Their assistant coach led the 1 v 2s, Sydney lingered behind the line so she could listen to what Lainey was telling Geno. "Okay sounds great!" Geno says, patting her shoulder then blowing his whistle. "Hey crew, listen up! Lainey has to do medical checks before our game on Friday, you're all due for and it's mandatory to be able to play  in the game. We're going to file through quick so be ready to be called! Jana you first!" Geno said as Lainey waved to Jana and they walked off.

It was finally Sydney's turn to scrimmage, her and Ice were playing against Paige. Paige started with the ball, dribbling it up the court, quickly making a turn as Ice approached her. Usually Sydney and Paige would be fooling around with each other, like they always do on the court. But today, Paige had a serious look in her eyes, she drove past the brunette, shoving her shoulder as she ran up the court. Thankfully Ice stopped her and threw the ball to Sydney.

Sydney quickly dribbled it up the court, then out of nowhere Paige swept in, stealing the dribbling ball from Sydney. Sydney turned her head, scoffing at the girl who now was running with the ball. Looks like Paige wanted to play, and Sydney can play her game. Sydney sprinted up to the girl, shoving her body out of the way and snatching the ball from her, Paige's fingers digged into the ball as they tugged back and forth of it.

Ice watched, and the whole team watched as the two fought over the ball, hugging it and pulling it towards their bodies. "Let go!" Paige growled to the girl. "LADIES! Cut it out!" Geno said as his arms cut their hands off the ball, the orange ball bouncing to the ground, echoing throughout the gym. "Seriously! Playing tug a war during a scrimmage! We got a game coming up, this is no time for games, the both of you are benched for the next twenty minutes of practice!" Geno yells.

Jana walks in as the two are huffing towards the bench. "This is your fault!" Paige whined under her breath, Sydney rolled her eyes. "Syd, your turn" Jana tapped her shoulder, her head tilting toward the door. Sydney happily jumped up, speed walking her way to the double doors. She took a left down the hallway, opening the glass door to the PT room and office.

Sydney led herself to Lainey's medical room, she's been there plenty of times to chat with the girl so she knew exactly where to go. "Hey SKay, hop on the bed, will ya?" Lainey sweetly asked. "What's wrong sugar?" Lainey's accent poking through strongly as she asked the clearly upset girl. "Paige is mad at me" Sydney said as she leaned against the wall.
