"Babe, I'm gonna tell my family, today, like right now" Sydney said as she dropped the blondes hand and walked up to the house. "What? Really" Paige smiled. "Wait as much as I love this, don't you wanna do it with just your family, you know see how they react then tell mine about us?" Paige said, opening the door for the girl. "Ya your right, I'll do it tomorrow morning, now let's go up to your room, I need help on what to say" Sydney said as she ran up the stairs.
"Wait should tell them I'm gay tomorrow morning then we tell everyone at thanksgiving dinner that we're together?" Sydney asks, as she paced around the girls room. "Whatever you want, I mean for me, the sooner the better cause I can't keep my hands off of you much longer" Paige smirked, as she gripped her hands on Sydney's hips, pulling her back. Sydney tripped on the bed frame, falling onto Paige's body, laying on her.
She went to get up but was stopped by Paige's strong arm. "Wait, stay like this for a minute" Paige said as she held the girl, her grip tightening.
Sydney must have fallen asleep on Paige that night cause when she woke up in the morning she was still laying on Paige, in her room. "Babe" Syd why shook her awake. "Babe I'm gonna go and tell my parents, okay?" Sydney said, slowly peeling herself off of the girl. Paige yanked her back down and held her tighter. "Babe!" Sydney whined, Paige didn't say a word but her grip loosened. "Good luck lovey" Paige whispered rasply in her morning voice. Sydney smiled as she stood in the doorway then ran out the door.
She walked to her house, since her car was in CT and it wasn't far from the Bueckers. Her family was NOT a morning fam. They weren't a running, turkey trot fam either, they liked to sleep on and feast, the Bueckers did aswell, so it made it easier for the families to get along.
Sydney started a batch for pancakes, she poured it on the pan and flipped them carefully. "PANCAKES!" Sydney yelled, which they all came running to. In the Williams house it was rare to have breakfast made for yourself, usually you just poured yourself some cereal and called it a day.
They all forked some pancakes onto their plates, pouring the sticky syrup on the pancakes. "Okay so I have something important to tell you all, and I'm not gonna lie I'm really nervous and don't know how to say this" Sydney said as she caught her family's attention.
"What's up Sweetie?" Her mom said, comfortingly. "I'm gay, just gonna put it that way. I like girls, so bisexual, gay, I'm not exact just yet" Sydney blurted out, not daring to look up from the ground. The room filled with gasps and cheers. Her mom suddenly wrapped her arms around her, almost knocking her over. "Hunny, I'm so proud of you! And hey this is okay, it's completely normal and nothing is wrong about it. Love is love and I love you" Sydney's mom says, rubbing her back.
"Kiddo!" Her dad hugged her. "I had a hunch" Her dad laughed as he pulled away from the hug, the whole family laughing. "It's about time you told us!" AJ says laughing.
Sydney always knew her family would accept her and her sexuality but she still got scared to tell them. "Well who's the gal?!" her mom said as they all sat back down to continue eating. "Um she wants to tell y'all with me, so I'm gonna wait" Sydney blushed. "Do we know her?" Dylan asked as he poured another pile of syrup on his plate. "Yep, very well" Sydney said and left the conversation like that. She was beyond happy her family was okay with the whole thing. She was so grateful she had them.
Thanksgiving was tomorrow and it was always hosted at the Bueckers house while the Williams hosted Christmas. Both of their families lived in different states, sometimes they would fly out to Minnesota to see them for thanksgiving but usually it was just the Bueckers and Williams for thanksgiving.
The kitchen was chaotic as always but especially around the holidays. Riley and Sydney were on dessert while Sydney's dad made the dinner parts. Sydney's mom was out running errands, AJ was at work and Dylan was running outside somewhere.
Riley and Sydney hooked up to the speakers and shuffled Taylor Swift as they baked, laughing at their dad who hated the singer. "Haters gonna hate" Riley sassed. "Hey Sydie you better be makin your famous peanut butter oatmeal cookies!" Her dad says as he washes his hands.
The three turn their heads as the hear the back door open and close. Footsteps walking towards the kitchen and a blonde suddenly appeared from the corner. "Hey Paige, here come try this" Sydney dad said, shoving a spoonful of mashed potatoes in her mouth. "This is bomb! Your mashed potatoes always hit" Paige says as she claps her hands.
Paige looked so cute, she had her hair in a slick back bun and she had a sweats on, her eyes puffy cause she just woke up. "Do yall mind if I steal miss Sydney Kay from you? Just for like a hour" Paige says as she grabs the girls wrist, slowly pulling her towards the door. "Haha I'll be back soon dad!" Sydney says and closes the door shut.
They walk to the car and hop in. "What do you need me for?" Sydney asked the girl as she buckled herself in. "This" Paige said, gently lifting her jaw and kissing her lips. Sydney quickly pulled away, and patted her shoulder. "Nice try Rambo, now what do you actually need me for? What did your dad assign you to do" Sydney said, knowing Bob probably gave Paige an errand to run and she didn't want to do it alone.
"Pop wants me grab the turkey from the store" Paige said, pulling out of the driveway. "Omg! I forgot to tell you! I told my family I like girls and it went well" Sydney smiled, hook it up her phone to the aux. "aww good, how do you feel?" Paige asked, rubbing her hand on Sydney's upper thigh, spending shivers down her spine. "Really good! Like so much lighter now that I don't have to carry that secret around them. Also they kept asking who the girl was and I just said she wants to say it together" Sydney said then hit shuffle on one of her playlists.
