The alarm goes off again and I jolt awake. I turn it off, but notice the time is eight o'clock, not seven thirty. As I rub my eyes, something feels off. I look around my room... this isn't my room. My senses immediately flare up and my brain gets forced out of bed. I see dark walls, clothes laying on the ground - none of which are mine - a football in the corner. Where am I? Did Chad kidnap me? The thought of that sends a shiver down my spine. I need to get out of here now.
I get out of bed and stumble forward, falling onto the wooden floor. Why did my balance feel so uneven? No longer covered in blankets, I can see my body, but just like this room, it isn't mine.
I see a male body. I move a male body. Am I in a male body? What!?
I move my legs; the large, somewhat hairy legs move around.
I move my arms; the lengthy, somewhat hairy arms move around.
I gasp frantically; the wide, completely flat chest expands quickly.
This can't be happening, what's going on!? This must be a dream - a nightmare!
I poke my cheek as hard as I can; a low voice groans in pain.
My hands - wait, no they're not mine - immediately cover my mouth. Was that my voice?
"H-Hello?" a boy tentatively asks. That is my voice! But it's not my own!
Mirror! I need a mirror!
I get up, stumble around again and look for a reflective surface in the room. Nothing. I need to find the bathroom in this house. I walk towards the door and grab a hold of the knob, but hesitate. I don't know where I am, I don't know if I'm even safe here. Before I barge on out of the room, I press my ear against the door and listen very carefully.
Silence permeates the house.
Where's mom? Or Liam? Heck, even Chad would be somewhat of a relief right now!
I open the door slowly, causing it to creak, and step into the hallway. I look both ways: one leads downstairs, the other to three rooms. The hallway feels cramped. I tip-toe towards the three rooms and open the first door.
Another bedroom reveals itself, and I immediately shut the door. Please don't tell me someone was in there!
The second door reveals another bedroom, and a lot of dust. I shut the door immediately.
Finally, the third door opens to a bathroom, and I hastily scramble towards the sink.
A blue-eyed boy with dark brown hair stares back at me in the mirror.
