Alison's POV

I smirked at the handsome man in front of me. The suit was tailored to perfection, expensive shoes, the one you could hide weapons in and God I knew I had to remind my dumbass security to check next time.

He wouldn't hurt me; he wasn't that stupid but I didn't take and kind of chances. His hair was kept short and his beard perfectly barbered, for sure by a professional private one. The boss of a mafia like his had to trust someone to let them regularly hold a knife to his throat.

"So, you are the so-called king of Las Vegas?" I asked as I gestured for him to take a seat in a chair, taking one myself on top of the rich wood of the expensive desk. The wood was cold against me but with a satisfied smirk I observed the way his eyes took me in, a hungry gleam to them.

"that's what they call me" he nodded, crossing one leg over the other lazily, his arms on the pollsters of the expensive chair. It was deep so that despite his size I could look down on him even without the heels and I loved it.

"I see why, they must see all the showy muscles and expensive suits and assume there's just as much behind all that as you flash to them. Too bad they're all wrong." I pouted a little grabbing one of the daggers laid in an expensive case just behind me and twirling it around, the sharp edges blinding in the dim light of the room.

It was a replica from the one at home with the difference, that this one was all mine. My brother had home and I had all of Vegas just if I managed to snatch it from the Kelce clan. Dad had given me a year, taking over if I failed and if I managed within the year he'd cross my brother from his will, leaving the entire imperium to me.

I wasn't particularly insistent on running the whole mafia but i wouldn't let Austin take over all by himself either.

"Oh yeah? And what makes you think that... Alison."

The way he said my name made some part of me throb hard and it certainly wasn't my heart. But I couldn't show any weakness to him and for now sexual attraction was one. Not that I would ever let him top me.

The fantasies in my head related more to tying his cute little ass to the chair he was in and using him like I usually did with my vibrator. I was sure he would make a good one as well.

Focus Alison.

"Because little boy, that mafia you claim to reign with an iron fist, with full control, has some quite affordable branches and let's just say we have had the means to get them and will be able to... purchase a lot more if we wanted to."

He swallowed hard but kept my gaze in his, the lustrous fire in his eyes replaced with a fierce and demanding one.

"So pretty boy, I'm not here to snitch on anyone, I'm here to make sure you know your little construct the "family" as you like to call it, is not as loyal to you as you think they are. I'd watch my back in your place, there are people you probably trust a lot more than you should and you're probably asking yourself why I'm disclosing all of that to you right?"

I asked and got of the desk taking two steps forward towards Travis, leaning forward and bracing myself on the edges of the expensive chair. I could hear him take in a deep breath and yet his eyes never left mine behind the veil that obscured towards his end but gave me a full view of him.

"I don't like playing with a weak opponent; it's boring. I'm going to take you down Kelce and I will do it when you have all the strength you could ever have and I will still do it with ease cause I am always one step ahead of you. It won't be easy; it won't be light but believe me when I tell you I'm a damn hard worker for what I want and I want this city and I will have it in the end."
