Taylor's POV
When I woke up I felt a heavy weight on my chest, a sting in my side and a weird numbness in my limbs.
As I lifted my head I saw the sources of the heavy feeling on my chest and I couldn't help but smile despite the pain. Travis' head was resting on my chest and his deep breaths indicated he was still asleep.
Absentmindedly I let my hand wander through his short hair, drawing little patterns on his skull. God how I loved this man. I wanted to be with him forever, stay by his side and maybe, maybe we'd have a family one day.
"Tiger?" Travis murmured quietly and a little smile grazed my lips at the sound of his tired morning voice. My Travis. I knew we went through so much already, knew there was still so much we hadn't talked about yet, so much that had been between us for so long now, but he was mine and I was his and I wanted that to never change.
"Hey." I managed weakly, a burning sensation in my throat as I spoke, reminding me of just how thirsty and hungry I was.
"Oh, Tiger oh thank god you're okay." He murmured, almost sobbing as he pulled me into his embrace and I had to swallow my whimper of pain but the comfort of his arms were worth it.
He was so warm, smelling perfectly, just like my Travis always did and the strong muscles wrapping around me brought forth comfort and a rush of butterflies. I knew I was safe with him no matter what.
"I thought I lost you." He murmured softly, stroking his hand up and down my side as he talked, his gentle eyes filled with so much love and care it made my heart jump with excitement. I knew we had told each other we loved the other and yet this look was more than any words could ever express.
"You won't ever lose me." I reassured quietly, smiling at him, gently stroking over the side of his face with his beard, running my fingers through the slightly longer hair. "Though I do consider running off if you keep growing that yeti beard of yours."
I giggled as Travis rolled his eyes fondly at me, pecking my lips yet again. "My silly Tiger, as if would ever let you go again."
My cheeks flamed up as he spoke but there was something in my mind I couldn't quite shake off and I just had to talk of it but before I could I was interrupted by the opening of the door and a woman in a white cloak that rushed in carrying a tray filled with my favorite food and two water bottles, giving me a wide smile.
"Hey Taylor, I'm Doctor Miller, good to see you up and well." She smiled setting the tray down in front of me and exchanging a quick nod with Travis before she went closer to check my vitals and pulse, giving me a quick all over before she left the room again, mumbling something about giving us privacy again.
"I-is Kylie okay? And the baby?" I asked after Travis helped me taking a zip off of my water, his gentle fingers stroking over my exposed skin as he listened to me, almost handling me like a delicate little doll.
"Jason texted me just earlier, they're being watched closely by the doctors since you know the stress can take it's toll on them, especially with the whole hormone stuff going on but you know that a lot better than I do. The doctors said she will get better soon though and that is only thanks to you.
If it hadn't been for you I don't know what would have happened. Lord knows Jason and I would have both done pretty much anything to save her and get her out of there but it was you that did it. You were so brave Tiger, so so brave and I promise you I will spend the rest of my life showing you how much I love you."
