"Remain calm... Remain calm..." you whispered to yourself as your eyes kept trying to find a way out of the room. "Breathe... You're okay. Someone will find you."
Your thoughts were running wild with how your situation wasn't safe. How you weren't safe. You kept trying to keep yourself calm, remembering what your therapist had suggested. You needed to keep as calm as possible to think of ways to get yourself out safely.
You suddenly jumped as gunshots rang out, and a loud roar shook part of the Compound. The Hulk would find you; you were sure of it. What you weren't sure of was how Hydra was able to do any of this. Fury had left military aid around the perimeter before he disappeared again. What had happened to them? And the press that was out there with them?
Maybe it was safer in Tony's locked lab. Quickly, you used your webs to cover every door knob, lock, and opening. If no one were able to get to you, you'd have to protect yourself. You had been trained by the Avengers, you have superpowers, you could handle this... right?
As the commotion began to grow closer, you realized that maybe staying put wasn't the best option. Using your webs, you pulled down a vent cover and pulled yourself up there. You needed to get out of the building or to the training rooms where you could grab your suit and weapons. It was just a matter of getting there. You began by going in the opposite direction of the fighting.
Just as Natasha taught you, you tried to make your moves quick and quiet. The stress was causing your skin to grow sticky, which was making being quick and quiet a bit hard. You needed to get to your suit to help you before anyone could find you.

Tony woke up with a gasp, immediately trying to sit up. His eyes were frantically looking around as he was quickly pushed down.
"Lay down," Rhodey ordered. "Keep breathing." That's when Tony realized that an oxygen mask was over his mouth and nose. He moved his arm to take off the mask but stopped as an IV pulled against it. "Don't even think about it."
"Y/N..." Tony rasped.
"We're on our way to the Compound. Steve, Bucky, and Sam are trying to come up with a plan." Rhodey glanced over at the other men before looking back at his friend. "We still haven't heard anything from the Compound, but I'm sure Y/N's okay."
Tony shook his head. "I should be there... I ran to protect her..."
"You couldn't have known what would happen."
"Rhodes... if she dies—"
"She will not die. She's a fighter, more than we all give her credit for."

Peaking through the vent grate, you let out a sigh of relief when you saw the gear room. Quietly, you took off the grate and used your webs to lower yourself to the ground. You worked quickly, putting your suit on and grabbing anything that you felt like you could use, despite your lack of knowledge on how to use a lot of it.
You slipped out of the gear room, through the training room, and out into the hallway. The hallway was so silent that it made you nervous. You rounded the corner and kept a gasp from releasing. Wanda was lying across the hallway, unconscious. You rushed toward her to see that there was a large wound on her head that was gushing blood. Swiftly, you pulled her into a nearby room. You cradled her head carefully as you pushed aside some of her hair and used your webs to try to close the wound. You layered your webs up to also slow the bleeding.
"I'll be back," you whispered, hoping Wanda could somehow hear you.
Heading back into the hallway, you continued the way that you were headed. Windows and glass walls had been shattered with bullets. Shell casings and glass fragments scattered the floor of the hallways and rooms. It was beginning to surprise you that Wanda hadn't been killed or kidnapped. Something was off. Turning the next corner, you immediately stopped at the sight of a darkened figure at the end of the hallway.
