Lucy woke to her alarm screaming at her to get up, she slid out of bed as quietly as possible trying to not wake Tim seeing as it was his day off. Lucy walked across to Tamara's room calling her name as she knocked the door.

"Come in?"

"Morning darling u alright?"

"Yeah I'm fine, can I help u?"

"I'm going to help u pick ur outfit, we do not need a repeat of yesterday alright?"

"Mom I don't need help I'm not a baby,"

Lucy gave Tam a stern looking, making it clear this isn't up for discussion. Lucy picked out and outfit Tamara approved , it consisted of a dark brown hoodie with black baggy jeans, much more appropriate.

"Tam I'm making breakfast alright, don't forget Auntie Ange is taking u to school today so u can walk in with Jack,"

"Alright mom,"

Lucy began to pour a bowl of cereal for herself and one for Tamara, her breakfasts weren't as spectacular as Tim's, she was not the best at cooking. She ate quickly then as she was heading to the bathroom there was a knock at the door.

"Tam I think it's Ange u need to be quick darling,"

Lucy opened the door to see Angela and Jack standing at the door,

"Hey Luce!" Angela greeted Lucy with a hug.

"Morning, u both alright? Jack ur getting so tall !" Lucy gave Jack a slight hug.

Tamara made her way to the front door smiling at Angela and Jack, her and Jack were friendly but not really friends, but tam knew she needed to use the journey to school and opportunity to get closer with Jack so she wasn't alone.

"Have a great day u two, and Tamara no funny business alright I've got to work all day and it's ur dads day off and I do not think it's in his best interest picking u up from school." Lucy reminded Tamara.

"U two go get in the car I'll be down in a sec," Angela told them.

"Everything alright?"

"Yeah Luce, I'll have a word with Tam before she goes in alright?"

"Thank u, I'll see u at work."

"Oh yeah Luce, can u or Tim pick Jack ,Tam and Lila up today?"

"Yeah of course!"

Lucy ran back into the house running extremely late, she skipped having a shower and grabbed clothes off the floor. She gave Tim a quick kiss on the head before she left, dashing down to her car.

They had just pulled up at the school, Tamara began to get out of the car,

"Hang on a sec Tam," Angela said.

"Yes?"

"Please be good today alright? Ur mom just wants the best for u and is really stressed ok?"

"Alright , love u Ange bye!"

Jack and Tamara walked into school together they then met Lila, and they began to make there way to home room which they all had together. Tamara hadn't even got this far into the school yesterday before being told to get changed.

They all sat together in home room along with a few others.

"Do u guys want to hang after school?" Tam asked Lila and Jack.

"My mum only rlly lets friends come round mine," Lila replied.

"I'm happy to go wherever," Jack responded.

"Well we could meet at urs Lila?"

"Sure I'll text my mum at lunch,"

The day was pretty smooth, Tamara managed to steer clear from trouble all day. She had come very close to being caught vaping in the bathrooms but luckily for her she escaped trouble. The end of the day had come so she went to meet Jack and Lila.

"Lila did ur mum say we could come round?"

"Yeah she said it's fine , who's picking us up?"

"My mum or dad," Tamara rolled her eyes.

They make there way to the car park and spot Lucy's car, they all hop in.

"Hey guys how was ur day?" Lucy asked with a smile.

Tam replied first

"It was actually pretty good, I quite like this school."

Jack and Lila nodded and then told Lucy about their day.

"So I hear ur all going to hang out a Lila's after her mom gets off work, I need to bring u to the station before,"

They drive to the station, all of them chatting. Lucy was so happy Tamara had found a nice group of people to hang out with, she knew they didn't get into trouble and they were good kids.

When they got to the station the three sat in the break room waiting for their parents to finish up at work. Lucy decided to have a chat with Nyla before she took the kids.

"Nyla,"

"Yes Lucy ?"

"First of thanks for saying ur have Tam round, I'm so glad she's making friends, and also..."

"What is it Lucy ?"

"U know how Tamara can be? If she does anything don't hesitate to call,"

"Lucy I know she's ur kid, but if she does anything that I don't approve of I will tell her off and u know that,"

"Yes I know and I think that hopefully because she doesn't really know u she won't misbehave."

"Hm like the time when she set Angela's bins on fire?" Nyla looked at Lucy,

"She told u about that... Nyla honestly if u don't want her round-"

"Lucy stop worrying, I'll deal with her."

"Thank u Nyla."
