Late

Lucy woke to her alarm booming in her ears, her head was pounding. She couldn't remember anything about last night. She got up and shuffled towards the shower still half asleep. Angela heard Lucy in the shower, she didn't think it was a good idea for Lucy to go to work after last night but she couldn't leave her here alone.

After her shower Lucy began to apply her makeup and straighten her hair. To her surprise she felt happier than yesterday and wanted to make an effort with her appearance, all that drinking must've helped. She pulled a being sweater over her head making sure she didn't get makeup over it, she then put on a pair of khaki loose fit trousers. Once she was ready she made her way to the kitchen.

"Morning Ange." Lucy said bubbly, as she scooped willow off the floor into her arms.

"Morning Lu, u alright to work today?"

"Yeah? Why wouldn't I be?"

"Lu last night u were black out drunk."

"Crap."

"Do u feel ok?"

"Just a headache but I'll be alright."

"Ok darling, do u mind watching willow while I get ready."

"Of course I don't mind Ange."

"U look gorgeous by the way Luce."

"Thank u!"

Lucy sat Willow into the high chair and Jack sat next to her, she poured them both a bowl of cereal and one for herself. She loved these kids so much and they loved her, why couldn't tam love her? Jack was completely different to Tamara even tho they were the same age.

Angela reappeared 20 minutes later all dressed and ready, her hair in perfect curls and she was wearing tight grey pants, a matching blazer along with a red shirt. She watched as Lucy helped her two children eat their breakfast. Lucy hadn't spotted Angela watching.

"Jack u all finished?"

"Yes auntie Luce!"

"Okey dokie I'll take ur bowl."

Lucy picked up all the bowls and began to wash them up.

"Thanks Luce, ur the best but u didn't have to do that." Angela said,

"Ange ur letting me stay here for free and anyway I love helping with the kids."

"They love u so much Luce."

At Tim's house the morning wasn't going as smoothly. Tim had forgotten to wake Tamara for school due to the fact that was usually Lucy's job. Tamara had missed the bus and Tim didn't have time to drop her as he had to be in work early.

"What the hell am I supposed to do Dad?"

"Can u not walk? It's not that far?"

"It's so far from here!"

"I don't know Tam, I've got to get to work!"

Tim let the house slamming the door behind him. Tamara had no clue what to do, she considered calling her mum but they weren't allowed to see each other. She decided to call Angela.

On the phone:

"Hey Tam is everything ok?"

"Hi, well not really."

"What's up?"

"Dad didn't wake me up so I missed the bus and he had to leave for work and it's too far to walk."

"I can give u a lift but ur mum will be in the car."

"Well I need to get to school so I'll see u in a bit,"
