It was end of shift, she had been debating all day wether she should talk to Tim or not. She decided she would speak to him while they were in the station as that was probably best.

Lucy saw Tim stood at Angela's desk speaking to her, Angela was looking at him quite unimpressed with his actions. Lucy walked over.

"Tim. We need to talk" Lucy felt a wave of confidence waft over her.

"No Luce we don't."

"Don't call me that Tim."

"Sorry."

"No Tim u need to listen to me. What ur doing isn't fair on me or Tamara ok? Ur just walking out on us?"

"Lucy I can't be with someone who can't even raise a kid for god sake."

People in the station had started to look over, Angela got up from her desk and went to greys office to warn him of the argument about to come.

"So ur going to leave me to parent her on my own?"

"No. If u read the papers u would see I've requested full custody. I want her raised right!"

"No Tim u can't do that. U came in here the other day telling me u can't deal with her anymore."

"Yeah well that's because u enabled her to behave like that!"

"What?" Lucy's voice was shaky.

"I know about the cigarettes u keep hidden, Tamara told me! U got her started on them!"

"U can't take her Tim."

"Well I am!"

Tim walked out the station leaving Lucy stood looking like an idiot in front of everyone. She was about to break down onto the floor when Angela pulled her into a hug.

"Let's get u home Lu," Angela whispered into Lucy's ear.

As they walked out the station Lucy sobbed into Angela uncontrollably, not caring about what anyone thought. They got into the car.

"Luce, I'm sleeping over again."

"Angela I'm literally fine."

"Lucy, Tim screamed at u in the middle of the station in front of everyone and threatened to take ur daughter away."

"It's whatever."

Angela ignored Lucy and began to drive to the apartment they stopped off at Angela's on the way. Angela unlocked the front door to be greeted by Wesley holding willow.

"Mummy!" Willow said excitedly.

"Hey baby girl, I've missed u."

"Are u coming home tonight?"

"Um." Angela didn't want to upset her daughter but knew Lucy needed her.

"Ange I'll be fine, ur family miss u." Lucy reassured her by putting her hand on Angela's shoulder.

"Lu are u sure?"

"Yes Angela."

"Alright wait in the car I just want to see Jack before I drop u home."

Lucy went back to the car and rummaged in her bag, she had been waiting for this all day. She pulled out a cigarette and a lighter and wound the window down. She lit the cig and put it to her lips inhaling it. She had to keep watch for Angela. She sat there letting the smoke wash away all her problems.

She watched Angela exit the front door. Lucy quickly blew the cigarette out and chucked it out the window hoping Angela wouldn't see. As she got in the car she turned to Lucy.

"Have u just had a cig in my car?"

"No?" Lucy tried to act dumb.

"Lu I saw u out the window, I'm not an idiot."

"Sorry."

"I spoke to Wesley, u and Tam are staying with us till everything with Tim's sorted."

"No I'm not imposing on ur family."

"When I told Wesley what happened he insisted."

"Are u sure Ange?"

"Yes Lucy, let's go get some of ur stuff and pick Tam up."

They drove to the apartment only to see Tim's truck parked outside.

"What the hell is he doing here?"

"Lu I'll deal with it."

They went up to Lucy's apartment, Angela unlocking the door and going in first. The first thing she saw was Tamara packing a suitcase and Tim stood next to her helping. Lucy finally got sight of what was happening.

"TIM U CANT TAKE HER!"

"Lucy don't start again."

"Tim what's going on?" Angela asked trying to keep the situation calm.

"Tamara wants to live with me and my sister for now, she called me saying how unstable Lucy is."

"UNSTABLE ? Who the hell are u calling unstable?"

"Lucy ur a wreck u can't look after her! I saw u sobbing after our argument earlier and ur having to stay with Angela because u can't cope on ur own!"

"Listen Luce, why don't u let Tim look after Tamara and u can stay with me alright darling?" Angela said softly.

Lucy just nodded, she didn't want tam to stay with Tim but she knew she would go with him anyway. She didn't get why Tamara preferred Tim, he always shouted at her and didn't show any interest in her life. Tamara saw how upset Lucy was. She approached Lucy and gave her a slight hug, she then got a waft of smoke from Lucy's clothes.

"Mom? Have u been smoking?" Tam asked.

"No baby,"

Tim and Tamara left the apartment, Lucy looked out the window as they loaded her stuff into Tim's truck. She felt so empty knowing her daughter chose her dad. She didn't say anything to Angela, she was annoyed Angela sided with Tim but part of her knew it was for the better.

Lucy packed some clothes into a bag, mostly considering of hoodies and joggers, Angela came in as Lucy was folding the joggers to go into the suitcase.

"Luce pack proper clothes, u can't wear tracksuits everyday."

"I can wear what I want Angela."

"I'm not letting u lose ur self over Tim."

"Ange stop."

"Let me pick some clothes for u."

Angela rummaged through Lucy's wardrobe picking some outfits that were vibrant like Lucy used to wear before everything happened. She folded them and placed them in the suitcase, replanting the hoodies and joggers. Lucy was looking for some pyjamas when she found Tim's old metro hoodie, she packed it in the suitcase along with her pjs. She then quickly grabs herself another pack of cigs, she felt guilty about it. She hadn't really smoked since before having Tam.

"Luce we need to go hun,"

"Coming!"

They hurried out of the apartment locking the door behind them. Angela helped Lucy carry her stuff down to the car and load it into the back seat.
