Lucy drive back to her apartment, she needed to sort through Tamara's stuff and take it over to Tim's. She unlocked the door she was dreading having to do this. Lucy when's into the kitchen to have a quick coffee before having to clean out the room she put her heart and soul into making it perfect for Tam.She opened the bedroom door, the room was already half empty as Tamara took all her important stuff when Tim came to get her. Lucy decided to start with the closet. She pulled everything onto the floor and sat beside it all. First she opened a box full of Tamara's baby stuff, outfits, pictures, teddies. Lucy began to feel emotional but tried to keep the tears back. She kept all the items in the box for herself. It was when she moved to the nightstand and found Tamara's diary every thing changed. Lucy tried to stop herself from reading it but the urge was too strong.
Dear diary,
My parents will not stop arguing I hate it. It's always over me, because of my "bad behaviour". Why can't they just understand I'm a teenager and don't want to be sat cooped up in the apartment all day. It's always my moms fault as well she's so sensitive and cries about everything. Honestly I hate her. I don't get why she can't just be like other moms. I think maybe it's because my parents are younger than other kids my ages parents. But still she needs to get a grip. They both work all the time so I'm left alone. At the moment they don't know about the drugs and I hope they never find out but when they do I hope mom knows it's because of her. She has failed me, she's never around and when she is she lectures me about misbehaving. Well I'm going out to have a cig now.Lucy was a crumpled heap on the floor by the time she had finished reading. She slowly got herself up and made her way towards the kitchen, opening the cupboard she spotted a few bottles of tequila. She grabbed one out and plopped herself onto the couch. She downed the whole bottle, she just wanted to feel numb to everything. Soon after she drifted off the sleep. But not for long.
Thud. Someone was at the door, Lucy jumped up and stumbled over to the front door. She opened it to see Tim stood there.
"WhaT tHE hElL ArE yOU dOinG HeRE!" Lucy shout, words slurred.
"Are u actually that bloody drunk Lucy?"
"I aM NOt drUnK!"
"I came to get the rest of Tams stuff,"
"Go oN ThEn!"
Tim made his way into Tamara's room he shut the door behind him and began to pack boxes with all her remaining things. He decided to call Angela, he was worried about Lucy being on her own.
On the phone:
"What do u want Tim?"
Angela and Tim were best friends but not anymore, Angela was mad at him for the way he treated Lucy.
"Angela u need to come to Lucy's apartment,"
"Why? What have u done?"
"No no I haven't done anything, I swung by to pick Tams stuff up and Lucy is so drunk."
"For god sake. I'm on my way."
They hang up.
Tim left the bedroom with boxes in his hand, he glanced over at Lucy. She had another bottle in her hand.
"Lucy!"
"WhAT!"
"Stop drinking."
Before Tim could do anything Lucy held the bottle to her lips and chugged the rest of it. Tim ran over to her, he was so mad. No wonder she wasn't allowed to see Tamara.
"Lucy I cannot do this with u!" Tim said as he left the apartment.
As he was walking down the hall he saw Angela.
"Tim why did u leave her?"
"She's just drank another bottle of bloody tequila! I cannot deal with her."
"So u just thought u would leave her!"
"She's not my problem anymore Angela."
"She's not mine either Tim but I care about her! I can't bloody believe u sometimes!"
Angela opened the apartment door, Lucy was sprawled out across the couch unconscious. Angela ran over and gently slapped her cheeks trying to wake her.
"Lu u need to wake up for me!"
Lucy's eyes sprung open.
"WHaT tHe HeLL AnGE!"
"Lucy how much did u have to drink ?"
"LiKE NoThiNG."
"Come on Lulu let's get u back to mine."
Angela held Lucy's arm as they made their way to the car as she kept stumbling over. Angela couldn't believe her friend was in this state. She needed help, seriously.
They made it back to Angela's house and Angela could tell Wesley was irritated she left in the middle of dinner.
"It's fine I don't mind cleaning up after dinner, again." Wesley muttered.
Angela ignored his comment and walked Lucy to the bedroom she was staying in and sat her on the bed. She pulled out Lucy's pyjamas from the closet and began to help her change.
"Lu lift ur arms up."
"PiSs OfF AngELa!"
"Go to sleep Luce, or are u hungry?"
"BloODy StARviNg!"
Angela went to the kitchen to make Lucy some food, she could still feel Wesley's angry gaze upon her.
"Wesley I'm sorry I had to go."
"Angela it's been happening a lot lately!"
"I know I just don't know what to do."
"About what baby?"
"About Lucy, she needs help."
"Ur doing really well Ange ur such a great friend, I'm sorry I got mad."
"No it's not fair on u but I cannot just leave her."
"Ange, she's part of the family ok she's welcome here so u don't need to worry!"
Angela poured boiling water over some noodles and took them to Lucy, she made sure they weren't too hot.
"Lu I've got u some food."
"Thanks." Lucy was extremely tired now.
Angela perched on the end of Lucy's bed watching Lucy as she ate the food. Angela's heart broke to see her once happy friend who was always beaming with sunshine now just a shell of emptiness. She couldn't let Lucy go to work like this tomorrow.
