CRACK!
Did they hear that!? March thought to herself.
"There's no point in running!" One of the captors yelled.
"Don't worry, you'll die at one point!" Howled the second.
March knew that out of all the Monthies, she was the least athletic. She tripped on a loose tree root. March slammed to the ground. The captors starting chasing in her direction. March scuttled back to her feet and fell. She felt like she was in zero gravity.
I fell into the water right below the Elemental Sanctuary! March thought.
She swam through the water and dived below the waterfall's crashing waves. Behind the waterfall was a secret entrance leading to the Elemental Sanctuary. March's footsteps echoed as the tapped on the hard rock. She touched her hand to month door. It swung open. March dashed inside and closed the door tight.
"Where'd she go?" One of the captors yelled.
"Don't worry." The other one reassured his colleague. "He has a plan for this kind of problem."
March stuck her ear to the door. After their conversation, there was nothing but silence. March put her back the door and slowly slid down until she was sitting.
"They're gone..." March whispered. A tear slid from her eye.
She hugged her knees and buried her head into them. "They're gone! All of the months are gone!" She cried.
The other Monthies were abducted by an unknown group. March barely made it away but the others weren't so lucky. She didn't know what to do. She didn't know where to go. March, the powerful goddess, felt powerless in the face of danger. Her dragon, Inferno, flew to her feet. He leaned his head down and dropped a letter. Inferno, was able to turn into a human, changed into his human form and layer his head on her shoulder. March stared at him.
"What? I dunno what it is so open it already." He mumbled, his flaming red hair poking her in the face.
March rolled her eyes. She made a little magic laser and burned the enveloped open. It read:
Dear Month,
You're friends have been captured! Now, I bet you want to find them. Well then go ahead! Here's your first direction is to go to Keymont City. That's all I'll say! Toodles!
Your friend, Myz
"Myz?" Inferno mumbled. "Who's Myz?" Inferno asked.
"I dunno." March grumbled.
She folded up the piece of paper.
"C'mon, we have to go to Keymont City. I think we'll be gone a while so let's pack some bags." March instructed.
Inferno sighed and a little flame steamed out. "Fine." He groaned.
March kissed him on the forehead (they're not dating, he's just her pet. But if you want, go ahead and ship away).
"Sorry, Ferny. I know you wanted to be a lifeless lump today but we got work to do." March flicked his red hair out if his face.
"It's not called being lifeless, it's called being half alive." He murmured.
"I got the bags ready!" March yelled after 55 minutes of packing. "Turn into a dragon, would ya?"
He began to glow a golden red and was now a dragon. March lifted the bags onto him and then lifted herself on. Inferno looked at March.
"Come on. Let's go." She nudged.
He wouldn't budge.
"Just move your fat lizard butt, okay!?" March complained.
Inferno blew a flame at her hair and sat down.
"WHAT DO YA WANT!?" March screamed.
"Hey, no reason to yell." He grinned. "But we have a deal."
"Ugh, why do you always want me to do this?" March sighed.
"Because you always make the weirdest face when you do it." Inferno mischievously smirked.
March rolled her eyes. Her face started to burn up until she was blushing furiously. March hopped off Inferno and walked in front of his face. She was as red as her hair was. March kissed Inferno on the cheek then looked away. He got a tear in his eye. Inferno turned back into a human.
"BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" He laughed uncontrollably. "Oh, oh, oh my god. Your face. Ugh, precious memories."
He turned back into a dragon. "Ok, I'm somewhat sorry. Hop on."
March punched him in the tail and jumped onto his back. Inferno shifted his wings. He took one big flap and flew into the open ceiling. The night air brushed across March's face and the stars looked so close that she could almost touch them. Go to Keymont City, Your friend Myz... March repeated to herself in her head.
