I sat up from my bed and scrolled on TikTok to distract myself from my overthinking. What was so important?

After twenty minutes, I get another text.

I nervously climbed out my window and walked to the parked mini van.

"I got you a McFlurry" he nervously hands me the cup as I close the door.

"Thank you" I smile, biting my bottom lip. "Now what did you wanna talk about?"

"Well. It's not exactly easy for me to say. But don't get mad if you don't feel the same. I just thought it was right for you to know" he stuttered a bit.

I instantly froze. If I wasn't nervous before, I definitely was now. I allowed him to continue.

"Well. I like a girl. And I don't know how to tell her" he fidgeted with his ring. I felt my heart drop.

"Who?" I ask, part of me curious, the other part wanting to run back to my room and cry.

"It doesn't matter" he shook his head. "How do I tell her. I'm really nervous that she doesn't like me back"

As much as I wanted him to like me back, he was still my friend so I gave him the best advice I could. I'm not that selfish.

"Honestly. I think you should be straightforward. Just tell her"

"Why does everyone keep saying that" he starts growing frustrated.

"Because it's what you have to do Matt. You like someone, you tell them." I noticed the irony of what I was saying. I never told Matt I liked him. It would stay that way. I'm happy I didn't because he likes someone else. That could have been bad.

"Do I tell her in person? What do I say? Does it have to be a big deal? Do I have to get like flowers or something? Help me Vivi"
