Knock, Knock. I Care - Jax X Original Character (Reader)

12- Sarcasm

Summary: The gang is transported into the colorful world of candy and they find out Caine sent them on a double adventure.

DISCLAIMER: Princess Loo will not be of existence in this book. I'm sorry for all the fans, but you'll see what I've got cooking up for you in this episode. It's a LOT different than the original.

"All this candy is making me hungry," I say, looking around in awe.

Jax rolls his eyes. "You just ate an entire plate of pancakes, Sugar cube. How can you possibly be hungry?" He teased me.

"Just- look around!"

Jax smiled warmly at my excitement.

As the candy carriage being pulled by the gummy elephant pulled up through large gates made of- you guessed it, candy, there were hundreds of NPC's cheering loudly with confetti all over.

Everyone makes their way out of the carriage, Jaqx reaching up to help me out, looking around more.

As I got out though, the cheering suddenly stopped.

And all eyes were on me.

"Our princess has returned!" one shouted, causing the entirety of the population of NPC's to roar in excitement.

My eyes widened.

Princess?

"Woah, woah, woah. What are you people yapping about?" Jax asked, stepping in front of me as people started to file towards me.

"Our princess has finally come home!"

"Your princess?"

"Princess Sugar Cube!"

Jax blinked and laughed. He looked up at the sky. "Caine? This is a joke, right? It's a joke?"

There was, of course, no response.

Jax was then run over by the Candy Canyon Kingdom's people and I was hoisted up above their heads.

"Wait, what!? Help! Help me!"

And just like that, I was carried away and into a large castle made out of (surprise, surprise) candy.

(JAX POV)

I got up, dusting myself off and trying to ease away my upcoming headache.

I looked at the others, who looked just as confused as I was.

"Weren't we supposed to be stopping people from stealing...what was it again?" Pomni spoke up.

"Maple Syrup."

"Weren't we supposed to be stopping people from stealing maple syrup?" Pomni finished her thought, looking around at the now ghost town of Candy Canyon Kingdom or whatever the frick it was called.

"So Caine sent us on a double adventure...that's okay, right? Yeah. We'll just have to split up!" Rags said, standing in front of our group.

"How're we supposed to split up if we don't even know how we're supposed to start the adventure, doll face?" I asked, annoyed.

"Okay, okay, okay. Pomni, Gangle, and I will go to get this...maple syrup. Jax, Kinger and...well, Zooble isn't here so I guess it'll just be you guys going to find Sugar," she said.

I sighed. "Great. I'm stuck with Hoo-ha to go find Shortcake in a ginormous castle where they could have taken her literally anywhere with an entire army of NPCs. I'm so excited."

The Hoo-Ha in question looked up at me suspiciously.

"I'm sensing a bit of sarcasm...."

No shit, sherlock.
