26- Karma

Summary: The gang decides their next adventure.

"Can we just- calm down with the horror? Please? I really don't want this to be like last time," Pomni said after Caine had announced "THE CURSE OF THE VIOLENT PSYCHOPATH BUTCHER" as our next adventure. I totally agreed with a nod of my head.

Zooble raised a brow. "What happened last time? Was that the one made for me?"

Pomni hugs herself, telling back the events of the last adventure from her point of view, of which, I hadn't heard yet. "There was this awful, horrifying angel head thing. And when we tried to fight back at all, we got sent to Hell, where evil souls tried to infest our bodies... It was bad."

My eyes widened. "So that what happened behind that door? Well after Jax quite literally threw me into the second scariest door and jumped in after me, there Was this long, endless hallway with hundreds of doors that we had to find the exit out of. Then when Jax suggested we split up, I got pushed into a room, tricked into thinking this demon thing was Jax, and then was put in a giant pool of water that got covered and was inescapable. I almost drowned but Jax saved me and- yeah, it was pretty bad."

Zooble looked down at the floor blankly before looking back at Caine. "Why did you think I would like that?"

Caine crossed his arms childishly. "Well, if you're gonna be such critics, why don't you suggest a better one?"

Zooble scoffed. "We do! Have you not checked the suggestion box once!?"

My eyes widened. I forgot we had a fucking suggestion box.

Caine flies over to it and blows on the dusty, cramped red box. "Gonna be real, Kind of forgot we had that, to be honest."

He rips it off the wall, a fountain of water flowing out from the cracked surface, making Jax move out of the way before it crashed down onto him. Unfortunately, I took the blow instead, the water drenching My dress and hair. Jax snorted from behind me as I moved, scrunching The water from my skirt. I flipped him off.

"Eh- sorry there, Sugar. Bubble, plug that up."

Bubble plugged it up with her tongue.

Caine takes out a suggestion from the box, reading it aloud. "How about an adventure where Zooble turns into a pinata and we all take turns beating them up."

I snorted, knowing whose that was.

"That one's mine!" Jax smirked.

Zooble rolleD their eyes. "Who would have guessed?"

"Okay, 'what about. An adventure where we all having a baking contest to see who can make the best strawberry shortcake, with Sugar as the judge.' Aww." Caine says, and I smiled.

Jax rolls his eyes. "Okay, fatty, we all know whose that one is."

I pushed him into the puddle of water, Zooble and Pomni snickering behind me.

"What about a more normal one?"

Caine dramatically gasps. "I don't know what 'normal' is to you people!" He sticks his tongue out, and the water Spurts at Jax, bubbles tongue having retracted.

Caine is silenced, pushing his tongue back into his mouth, and Bubbles' tongue returning to the hole.

"That was weird."

Caine grabbed another card. "How about one where we all work at a fast food place.' Is that normal?"

I smiled. "Sounds normal to me."

"Who wrote that!?" Jax asks.

Caine nods. "Its settled then! Today's adventure is 'AN HONEST HARD DAYS WORK AT SPUDSY'S RESTAURANT CHAIN!'" Caine yells. "And YOU can be the shift manager!" He points to Gangle.

Jax tweaked, looking annoyedly at Gangle. "You did NOT just make that today's adventure."

I smirked, patting his back. "Bet luck next time, huh Jax?"

He scowled at me and I began to walk toward the portal Caine had opened, instead tripping and falling into a fucking hole in the ground.

{JAX POV}

"Whoops! Shoulda closed that up!" Caine snapped, closing the hole as we heard Sugarcubes screams echo.

I laughed, wiping a fake tear. "She will be missed."

Ragatha rolls her eyes. "She'll be back with Zooble, Jax. Don't be so dramatic."

I shrugged and followed everyone to the portal before slipping on a puddle of water, falling on my ass. Raggy snickered back at me.

"Karma."
