32- Chill Day?

Summary: The cast is rewarded a chill day at the digital beach.

{POMNI POV}

This morning when I woke up, I felt tears on my cheeks. I'm not sure why, but today I'm feeling really down.

It could be because of yesterday, and It could just be my exhaustion from this last week.

I have a feeling my life before the circus wasn't all this exciting.

I feel like shit. I was so unbelievably jealous that he got her first. As if I had to chance to begin with.

Sugar was just so captivating, so kind and generous And beautiful. These feelings made me angry. Angry with myself, angry with Jax, and angry with her. But then again, it's not her fault she's perfect.

I thought, maybe I still had a chance. Maybe last night was some weird instance and Sugar was still on the stupid sauce….

Until I witnessed the two of them laughing and walking out of Jax’s room in the morning.

I knew I should've realized so long ago.

“Alright, my little pancakes! Today's adventure is a beach outing!” Caine shouted once we finished our breakfast.

“Another normal adventure? What are we going to be attacked by sharks or something?” Jax snarks, leaning his arm against Sugar's shoulder.

“Now WHYYY would I do anything like that!?” He mused, goofily sticking out his tongue.

I hate this guy.

“Well we have reason to believe you would do something like this…considering the last ‘chill day’ we had…” Ragatha giggled.

Sugar gasped, pointing at her. “You hush, now!” her face went red.

I raised a brow. “What are you talking about?”

“An adventure from Before your time. We went on a seemingly innocent trip to the fairgrounds and the next thing we know, Sugar is kidnapped by a bunch of raging stuffed animals,” Zooble explained, sneaking a teasing glance at Sugar.

The poor thing.

“I'm traumatized,” Sugar shuddered.

“That sounds terrifying,” I say, looking back at Caine. “That won't happen again….Will it?”

“Oh heavens, no!” He says loudly, “I promise this will be just a normal day at the beach! You guys seemed to love the normalcy of the last adventure, here's a nice, relaxing day!” Caine snaps his fingers and our Normal digital wear is changed into swimsuits varying styles. Zooble only gained floaties and Kinger’s robe was just nice swimming material now. Oh, and Gangle remained the same, but adorns sunglasses now.

I looked around and see Jax in pink swimming trunks, Ragatha in a cute blue one piece, and Sugar wears a a modest, strawberry themed two piece with red sunglasses and black sandals instead of her normal Mary Janes. 

She looked adorable. I felt my cheeks warm up. 

I looked down and saw I was wearing a red and blue scuba diving suit. Minus the gear, of course with the addition of matching water shoes.

A portal opens and were all abruptly pushed in. 

And then, I felt the heat of the fake sun, and a sense of relaxation wash over me.

Everything was going to he okay, even if for only one day.
