Who Are You? (A Marvel FanFic)

Not My Loki

For the next week, you spend countless hours back at the museum, which does maybe half of what you really need it to do. You stay nearly an hour longer than every other employee, and come in over an hour earlier than your shift starts. Even with that, physically you're at the museum, but emotionally, you're on Asgard. With Loki. Your Loki.

You've ignored countless calls from Nat and Wanda, even taking new routes to and from the museum. However, at the end of the week, Fury storms out of the elevator to the main room of the tower, "Someone better start talking."

"On any particular topic, or?" Tony and everyone are in the middle of lunch.

Fury leans on the head of the table where everyone sits, "Oh I don't know. Maybe on the fact that I have not seen, but only spoken maybe 3 sentences to Y/N?! She has not shown up for any training, and I was given her SHIELD badge this morning!"

After some silence, Steve clears his throat, "Y/N...may have blacked-out after training earlier this week."

Waiting for more of an explanation, Fury remains quiet, so Thor continues, "Y/N then claimed to have been on Asgard with Loki and I, but we have yet to travel there."

"And from Y/N's reaction to everything, there was...IS more to it, but they didn't say," Wanda keeps her eyes on her food.

"Her name on Asgard was Hlin," Tony looks at Thor who nods, before continuing. "That much Y/N said before they left. We don't know the significance behind it though."

"I do," Loki finally says without looking up from his tea, currently clenched in his hand.

And that causes everyone to turn to Loki, "And what would that be?" Fury questions.

Loki's eyes slowly rise, "If Y/N truly is Hlin, then we've been friends since we were children on Asgard."

"You had friends?" Tony nearly spits out his coffee.

"And hopefully one of yours will save you when I throw you from the window," Loki glares at him.

"Maybe tomorrow," Tony shifts in his chair. "Please, do continue."

Loki swallows, "We trained magic together, in the forest near her home. I never revealed that I was Loki though."

"What happened?" Wanda asks when Loki does not continue.

Once again, Loki drops his gaze back to his tea, "Hlin went on a trip with her parents, but never returned to Asgard. Nor her parents. Odin had Heimdall search for years." He shakes his head, "By now, Hlin would be..."

"Loki?" Thor moves closer, noticing Loki's sudden concentration.

"What museum does Y/N work at?" Loki looks to Fury.

The next day, you're finishing up a tour, getting ready for your lunch break.

Meanwhile, Loki comes in the front door and walks-up to the check-in counter. 

"Hello. May I he-," your coworker greets.

"I am here to see Hli...Y/N," Loki quickly corrects himself.

The worker types your name on the computer, "Y/N is still working, but I can radio them."

"Great. Do it now," Loki stares the worker down.

He takes his radio from his back pocket, "And you would be?"

"Someone important," Loki flexes his hand at his side.

"I'm sure you are," they press a button. "Y/N?"
