GROWING up in East highland was all that Benny had known. He had came from a one parent household with his father never being in the boy's life.

Benny had never mentioned him, accepting that it was okay with only having a mother in his life. Besides that, Benny had his nana who took care of him while his mother worked.

His mother worked her ass off day and night to take care of her son and strive to give her child a better life.

Though, by the time Benny had turned sixteen the two week paychecks weren't cutting it. Rent had gotten higher than before and noticed the bills piling up on the kitchen table.

"You know...I heard that someone named Mouse can help you out." One of Benny's friend mentioned.

"Mouse?" Benny asked.

"Yeah man, he can getchu right in no time."

Sure, Benny had no plans for what would happen after high school but a stupid degree in technology or something but deep down he wanted to be an artist. The boy had memories of his mother sitting in the living room painting while her mother cooked.

He had an eye for art and was constantly searching for a purpose and deep down he believed that giving someone a tattoo was a vulnerable moment that he craved to give others at such a young age.

By first month of working with a younger Mouse, The Gain's siblings great grandmother had passed away in her sleep.

Benny watched his mother's beautiful soul turn cold and full of death.

"Ma...what's going on?" Benny had asked his mother one day, who laid in her bed with the sound of bottles clinking from movement.

"I'm a terrible woman, Benny...I should've never been your mother." She whispered before closing her eyes.

A few more months down the road before Benny turned nineteen, she ended up in the hospital with alcohol poisoning and never recovered.

From that day on, Benny knew he was on his own. He was still working under Mouse and living in a small apartment by himself.

While he was focused on pushing out his boss's products, Benny laid his eyes on the most beautiful girl he has ever seen.

Alana Steven's life was a complete three-sixty compared to Benny's. Her father was a wealthy businessman who raised his daughter with expectations to be the same.

Although, Alana knew that deep down he would leave her mother one day with the amount of affairs he had.

So after being fresh out of high school, she attended all of the parties that took place that summer before being sent off to college.

Benny admired the glow that radiated from Alana when she entered the room.

She made Benny feel ways that felt similar to an art piece he had to have.
