"How am I supposed to trust you?" The Perez girl spoke.
"You jus' gotta be patient with me ma." Sevyn responded, kissing her cheek.

FEZCO'Sgrandma was a mother fucking g.
She knew how to walk into a room and own it.
While continuing to work under Mouse, a Twenty-four year old Benny had been introduced to her.
Marie was in her late thirties, but still looked like she could be in her mid twenties. Her bright blonde hair glowed in the dark house along with the cigarette that laid in her fingertips.
"And that's 60g's right there." Benny said, passing the bag filled with white powder towards Marie.
"You're smart kid. what's your name?"
"Benny."
Marie nodded. "How long you've been working for this bum?" She asked, referencing to Mouse.
"Almost five years. I gotta do what's best, not only for me."
"You gotta kid?"
"Two." Benny continued to place the fresh hundred dollar bills in the money counter.
I didn't hear much of the Gain's siblings mother, only when my mom talked to Benny about her growing up at our family dinners or during a sleepover drop off or pickup.
Shortly, after Zero was born, Alana then had Sevyn two years later. Despite having two kids, Benny had began to notice Alana's tendencies to stay out longer and pass out immediately the next morning and afternoon.
It no longer felt like a relationship, it felt like he was a single parent and he tries to tell himself it's not her fault. There's the possibility of suffering from post partum depression and Alana just felt disconnected with the two babies.
And drugs were what kept her going.
Alana might've thought she was smarter than Benny and hid the substances in her purse, but her lover had found it one night while it was left on the kitchen table.
Benny knew that he didn't want this life for his children. The cycle couldn't continue and he had to end it here.
"Two? Damn, kid you're really out here working." Marie said.
"Got no choice." Benny replied, slouching back in the chair that faced Marie.
"You know...if you don't wanna work for Mouse anymore, I can help you out."
Benny had gotten plenty of offers to work under new dealers but always denied because they looked sketchy. Although, the blonde woman that stood in front of him looked anything but sketchy. She looked like a professional.
"Help me out how?"
"Give you a place to stay, place to work, and a place for your kids to be safely."
While he did have the tattoo shop he planned to open, it was no space for a five and two year old to stay permanently. They needed stability, a place to eat, and a place to sleep. And Mouse's house wasn't cutting it anymore or when Alana dragged them to a friend's house while Benny was out.
