The next morning, Atsushi gets a call from Mori. He will come to his new house and they will have to discuss something.

Atsushi already knows what the discussion will be about.

Since he's not in the ADA anymore, he cannot play a spy anymore. Everyone in the agency found out he betrayed them and he knew he would never be able to get in the agency again.

Mori was granting him safety for free and he definitely wanted to get something in return. Atsushi was worthless to him any other way.

The weretiger agrees on a time and shortly before the time comes, Atsushi quickly locks Akutagawa's basement. Better to be safe than sorry.

In the living room, the same room that was bloodied a few weeks ago, Mori is already waiting for Atsushi on the couch. He made himself some tea.

Elise was sitting right next to him and Atsushi only quickly glanced at her before looking back up at the port mafia boss. He had a very serious expression on his face.

"I hope you don't mind that I already made myself something to drink" Mori says and raises his cup of tea. Atsushi just shakes his head and sits down on the couch opposite of the boss of the mafia.

"You know why I'm here."

„Yes" Atsushi answers and gets a bit nervous. What will Mori do? Will it be something harmful to him or an offer for some new job?

"Good. So you know this will not go very easy. You have 1 day to pack everything and leave."

"1 day?"

Mori doesn't answer. He just nods. Atsushi notices that Mori is on very high alert and some of Atsushi's claws come out.

„Too bad. We're staying here"

"No you're not. Not if your precious mate dies."

Atsushi jumps forwards and grabs Mori's collar with his hand.

"What the fuck do you mean by that? Do you think you can hurt my precious Ryuu? Because if you even try, I will kill you" The weretiger says in an angry tone and there's murder in his eyes.

"Are you sure about tha-„

His head gets bitten off.

Atsushi doesn't even control himself when his body turns into a tiger and his teeth pull themselves close around Mori's neck, biting it in a few seconds. He tries to swallow it but it's too big and he chokes on it so he spits it out soon later. So, he eats it after destroying the skull.

Elise disappears as soon as Mori's head gets inside of the tiger's mouth. She's his ability, after all.

Atsushi turns back into a human and falls backwards on the couch.

He just ate someone. He... He's become a cannibal. For Akutagawa. This just proved he would do anything for his mate if it meant Akutagawa would be safe.

No matter how morally questioning it was.

Akutagawa wakes up with Atsushi next to him. The weretiger was giving him hickeys and the diablo whimpered a bit when Atsushi put a hand on his dick.

"Y-You said you wouldn't hurt me anymore" The diablo says and feels Atsushi's hard dick press against his ass. He moves away and Atsushi immediately follows him, still brushing against him.

The weretiger stops and removes his hand from Akutagawa's dick.

"Yes. I promised that... I'm sorry, Ryuu. It's just- Well, I thought I'd lose you today" Atsushi's voice cracks and he hugs Akutagawa from behind. His hand isn't on his dick anymore but his own dick s still brushing against Akutagawa's ass.

Akutagawa stayed silent for a while before turning around and looking into Atsushi's eyes. This way, the dick was only touching his thigh, not his ass and he was less scared Atsushi was going to rape him now.

„Did something happen?" He asks the weretiger and Atsushi puts a hand on Akutagawa's cheek. He caressed his mate's face with his thumb and sighs. Today, he could've lost him.

„Mori came" He answers and Akutagawa's eyes open wide.

"Mori?"

"Yes. He... He threatened to kill you"

Akutagawa gulps. He didn't expect his boss to ever say that. He was one of the strongest mafia executives.

Well, not anymore.

"So how am I still alive?" The diablo asks, completely confused. Usually when Mori made threats like that, they were finished in a matter of minutes. By that logic, he should've been dead already.

Atsushi stares into the diablo's eyes for a long while before answering.

„I ate him."

Akutagawa's body goes still and his heart starts beating faster. He was extremely aware of the hand on his face and his breaths were getting irregular.

He needed to somehow get out of this situation, to calm down his nerves. His fear.

"That makes you boss now" Akutagawa says with an awkward chuckle and tries to sit up. He manages to do it but Atsushi's hand is still on his waist. The weretiger pulls himself up a bit and puts his head on Akutagawa's lap.

"Really? Hm... that's a stupid rule." Atsushi comments and closes his eyes.

Dazai once told him that the person who kills the mafia boss will become the next boss, just like Mori killed the boss before him and how he thought Dazai would kill him. Oh how wrong he was.

Akutagawa nods and with each second gets calmer.

Atsushi promised not to hurt him. He stopped touching him when the diablo told him no and protected him from Mori... There's no way he will hurt him now. Or, well, eat him now.

Atsushi's hand tightens on his lap and Akutagawa looks down. He carefully raises his hand and slowly puts it on Atsushi's head.

"Thank you... for saving my life" He whispers and starts caressing the weretiger's head.

He was nowhere close to forgiving Atsushi for taking away his freedom. He will never forgive him for killing his sister.

But the longer he manages to keep Atsushi on this clingy and nice side, the better. Atleast then he'll have a better chance to escape. And if not to escape, he will atleast have a somewhat comfortable life. With Atsushi. And no one else. Ever again.

Akutagawa gets shivers at that thought. A small blush appears on his cheeks though. He doesn't know why.
