Chapter 8

(Takes place at the same time as chapter 7, only the 1st part of the chapter though)

“Atsushi!” Dazai calls him in his usual cheery voice and the weretiger looks at him from above the computer. Dazai walks over to him and hands him a document.

Atsusji opens it and there he sees the suspect’s name, his ability and in general everything that he needs to know about the woman.

The doors to the ADA open and Higuchi and Gin walk in. Gin waves to Atsushi since she believed that Atsusji helped her brother. Higuchi nods respectfully. Not too low but enough for the bow to be friendly.

Atsushi waves back but tilts his head in confusion. He looks at Dazai.

“Wasn't my mission today supposed to be with Alutagawa?” He asks the bandages man and the man shakes his head.

“He called in sick today. For the first time in the many years I’ve known him” Dazai laughs and Gin nods to what he said.

“Yes. My brother doesn't feel well. His sickness is getting worse” She lies. Ranpo knows she lies but doesn't care. Dazai however gets suspicious. Because why would Gin need to lie about that?

„Tell him to get well“ Dazai tells Gin and the woman nods.

Atsushi looks at the two women and stands up. He needs to keep his smile on. They shouldnt knows how much he wanted to fuck Akutagawa again. But Gin not trying to kill him was already a good sign. That meant Akutagawa didn't tell her anything yet.

The group of three leaves the building and heads to the designated place.

Atsushi likes Gin and Higuchi and they start talking a bit. They mostly talk about the plan but Gin also tells Atsushi that she‘s in his debt and Higuchi thanks Atsushi too. The weretiger nods and feels very proud. No one suspected a thing.

The mission took much longer. 5 entire hours. By the end of it Atsushi wanted to smash his head against a wall because of how frustrating the mission was. Sure, they did it all by the book and finished the mission perfectly, but his teamwork with Gin and Higuchi wasn‘t great.

There were a few things that made it difficult for them to work well together and Atsushi had to admit, most of it were his mistakes.

Number one: His mind never left Akutagawa. He kept thinking about how easily it was to overpower the diablo. About how tight his ass was. Even when he was unconscious, he still made noises that gave Atsushi nosebleeds. The way his semen ran down Akutagawa‘s thighs. The way his stomach bulged a bit every time Atsushi entered him. Atsushi sure was glad for his big tiger dick.

Number two: Even though Atsushi liked Gin and Higuchi, they were part from the mafia and Atsushi had to be on high alert all the time. But sometimes it was hard to focus on both them and the mission, so he was often late with figuring out what to do to help the mission.

Number three: Atsushi might've been very high alert at all times but at the same time not him nor the women tried to hurt each other, even accidentally. With Akutagawa, they often hit each other if the other person was in the way. With this group, Atsushi, Gin and Higuchi were much too careful around each other and the criminals they‘ve been fighting used that to their advantage.

So yeah, in short the mission might‘ve not been terrible but it wasn‘t great either.

Atsushi already missed Akutagawa.

Atsushi missed Akutagawa every day for the first few months but that feeling faded away with time. Until the seventh month when Atsushi found out he was on a mission with Akutagawa again.

At first, Atsushi was just glad he could work with someone that he‘d worked with for a few years before Akutagawa cut him out of his life.

On the day of the mission everything is very… normal. They fight, defeat the criminal at incredible speed and are on their way back to the port mafia when the feeling returns. The feeling that Atsushi had missed so very much.

He turns to Akutagawa who‘s in the driver‘s seat and feels his fangs grow a bit. That‘s when Akutagawa opens the window and there‘s a disgusting smell coming into the car. Atsushi wants to throw up.

It‘s very disappointing that he missed his chance at making Akutagawa his again.

The symptoms don‘t disappear after a few hours so while he‘s doing paperwork it‘s very predictable that Dazai will notice the weretiger‘s weird aura. He tells Yosano to check on him and a few minutes later Atsushi gets the result of his „sickness“.

“Is it very bad?“ Atsushi asks and Yosano shakes her head.

“No. At Least not for you. Atsushi, do you know what ruts are?“ She asks and this time it‘s the weretiger‘s part to shake his head.

“Since you are part tiger, if you had a pack you would be something people call an alpha. Alphas get ruts which make them very… possessive. Atsushi, tell me, is this the first time you‘re experiencing such a reaction or feeling like today?“

“No“ Atsushi lies.

“Alright. So, on days like these, if you feel attracted to someone, you might want to do things to them. For example, having sex with them. But usually when alphas are in their ruts, they do not care for their partner‘s well-being. So these are pills which will not prevent the ruts but will help you stay in your right mind and prevent you from raping anyone. Take one now, and then just take one every day you feel like you‘re on a rut. Your ruts should come regularly but since you‘re only getting the first symptoms, they might come irregularly at first. There isn't much research for ability users with animals in the higher position of the animal hierarchy, so I‘m sorry if I‘m not able to explain further. I don't have sufficient information“ Yosano finishes explaining and Atsushi takes all the information in.

Were his feelings for Akutagawa real or was it just his ability? No, he shouldn‘t think this way. There‘s no way that the feelings aren‘t real. If anything they just become much stronger on days like these.

„Oh, and another thing. When alphas are on their ruts and know they‘re in a safe place, they might create a knot“ Yosano adds as she starts cleaning her room.

“Knot?“ Atsushi asks. That word seems familiar.

“That‘s when the lower part of your penis grows in size to stay inside of your partner. While you‘re knotting your partner, you will fill them with semen until you feel as if you‘ve fertilized them already. Since the spurts of semen will not happen all at once, the knot might stay in the partner for about 30 minutes, maybe longer. So always make sure you have the pills on you to pull out before the knot manages to form, okay? Because knots will be very painful for a sexual partner“ Yosano explains and Atsushi nods in understanding.

Just the thought of maybe getting Akutagawa pregnant makes him excited. Yosano notices that and hands him the water and the pill.

“Drink that. Now. And then go home.“ She says and Atsushi does as she says. He knows the pill won‘t have any effect on him though. Whether under the influence of his rut or not, he knows he will want t ofuck and later knot his favorite diablo.

And this time he plans on having sex in a comfortable place.

Akutagawa is his, after all. No one will be able to take Akutagawa away from him.
