Akutagawa and Atsushi haven’t been on a mission together for two weeks now. Two weeks of Dazai hating Atsushi and in the meantime Atsushi giving Mori information.
Chuuya made sure to argue with Mori so many times until he agreed to put Akutagawa on a mission with a partner different from Atsushi.
Sure, it made most missions much slower but as long as Chuuya and Dazai were happy, Mori didn't care. Atsushi being an informant was happy news enough.
“Gin, you’re with your brother on this mission.” Mori says one day and Gun looks at Ryyonsuke. For some reason he seemed distant these last few days and this would be the perfect time to talk to him. At home he ignored her but now they would be forced to talk.
“Yes, sjr” The siblings say and leave the building.

“Nothing is wrong Gin. Just, drop it”
“Something is wrong. You just won’t tell me. So what is it?”
“Nothing!” Her older brother yells and kills the guy in front of him. Gin shoots jim in the face to make it look like a true port mafia murder; three shots to the head.
Gin stares at Ryyonsuke in disbelief and scoffs. If her brother doesn't want help then sure. But he was actually starting to worry her.
Just when she’s about to call him out on his crap, they both get an important call.
“ALL ABILITY USERS, GO TO THIS LOCATION: XXX, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. LEAVE THE NON-ABILITY USERS TO FINISH YOUR CURRENT MISSION”
“What’s this about?” Gin asks Ryyonsuke and he shrugs his shoulders but gets ready to leave Gin.
“I don't know. But it’s an important order. Would you like me to call back-up for you or can you finish this yourself?”
Gin adjusts her mask to her face and slices the air with her knives.
“I’ve got this. Go to the location you got. Good luck” She says and sees a faint smile on her brother’s lips before he leaves.

The location is packed with ability users from many different agencies, but mostly the ADA, the port mafia and the guild. Akutagawa recognized some of them but wasn't friendly enough to greet them. Instead, he immediately went to find Chuuya.
“Akutagawa” He hears someone call his name and turns around.
“Dazai?” He asks and gets greeted with a pat to his left shoulder. He looks at the hand and then backs up at the man.
The bandaged man gives him something of a reassuring and later apologetic smile, then leaves to meet the rest of the ADA members.
Akutagawa just stands there, confused but also excited. For the first time in his life, Dazai touched him and it wasn't to hit him! It was even to give him reassurance!
A few minutes later after he finds Chuuya he gets to know all the most important information about this mission. They were about to infiltrate a newly formed but incredibly strong ability group that was mostly known for their human and animal trafficking and experimentation with trying to combine human and animal blood.
Experimentation to create someone similar to Atsushi, with the same regeneration abilities.
Usually so many people wouldn't care if it weren't for that new group to send threats to everyone. They were too big of a rival to ignore so it would be better to take them down sooner than later.
An hour later after everyone gets into position, they infiltrate the place and after another 2 hours they take control over it.
They find a weird cave system under the building and search through it all, finding all the experiments the group has made. All the children, women and men they have taken and started transforming into animals. It all looked extremely painful and Akutagawa wanted to leave.
“Akutagawa” He hears someone say and he turns around.
It was Atsushi.
He slowly walked over to the diablo and the black haired man took a hesitant step back.
When Akutagawa doesn't answer, Atsushi takes another step forward.
“Could we talk?” Atsushi asks.
“Why should we? You’ll just rape me if we’re alone”
“...” Atsushi can’t say he doesn’t want that. But at the same time, they were alone at this very moment and Atsushi still hasn't touched Akutagawa.
“I won't” He tells the diablo and Akutagawa wants to leave because he doesn’t believe the weretiger… but why does something keep pulling him to Atsushi?
Akutagawa doesn't step away this time, letting Atsushi come to him.
He hears Chuuya yell for him, many stones cracking and there being chaos.
He was entirely focused on Atsushi and the way he caresses Akutagawa’s cheek in a kind of possessive way, just before they were fully covered by stones that started falling because of an explosion.
“Fuck!” He only heard Chuuya yell before an arm got wrapped around him and a few seconds later he got knocked out.
