Lin changed out of his hoodie, his freshly cut hair had left tiny bits of scratchy annoyance inside it earlier.
He had been so busy he hadn't realised until now.
One minute past midnight. He was seeing Kelly today.
He smiled as he got into bed, tonight he wouldn't be sleeping on his own. He couldn't wait to see her laying next to him, to feel her smooth skin next to his, to feel himself inside her again.
He quickly stopped himself. There were no definite signs that she even wanted to stay with him. She might have had a total change of heart.
"Shit I hope not."
"Can I get you anything to drink?"
Kelly took out her headphones and looked at the drinks cart.
"Yeah can I just have a water and a Diet Coke please, Steve what do you want?"
Steve frowned at her.
"Don't you want a JD? There's another 5 hours to go yet."
"No I'm good. I need to get some sleep."
Steve nodded.
"Ok, well I'll have a Gin and Tonic please....." he looked at her badge "Elina."
He smiled at the pretty crew member serving him and turned to watch her walk down the aisle.
"Pick your tongue off the floor Steve."
"Come on, she was gorgeous!"
Kelly shook her head, and put her headphones back in. Resting her head back she shut her eyes. Her head pounding.
Steve took himself for a walk to the front of the aircraft and managed to get chatting to Elina while she was on her break. He bought another drink and went to sit back down.
Kelly stirred and looked at him.
"Why are you looking so smug?"
Steve grinned and waved a bit of paper. She snatched it off him.
"Elina. 07856 209153"
She rolled her eyes at him and passed it back.
Steve opened his drink and poured it humming to himself.
"Oh God.... Move..."
Kelly stood up and tried to get past him.
"Kel! What the fuck!"
"Move Steve, I'm going to be sick."
"Shit...." Steve grabbed his drink and moved out of the way quickly.
Kelly ran to the toilet and just made it in time. She sat with the door locked for a few minutes while her stomach returned to normal, splashed some water on her face and made her way back to her seat.
Steve looked at her concerned.
"You ok?"
She nodded.
"Yeah fine. I just haven't eaten today, the smell of the Gin just turned my stomach."
"Bloody hell Kel, I'll get you something to eat."
He pressed the call bell and smiled as Elina came over.
"My sister isn't feeling great. She hasn't eaten all day because she's an idiot. Do you have any sandwiches left?"
Elina smiled.
"I think we have some cheese and a couple of ham left if that's any good."
"Perfect. Can I get a cheese please."
He grinned as she walked off.
"Like how you emphasised 'sister' very smooth."
Kelly said sarcastically.
"I don't want her thinking you're my partner do I! Do you think I've got a chance?"
Kelly glanced at him.
"You've got her number, I'm pretty sure that's a good chance yes."
She rubbed her head.
"You still feeling rough?"
"It's easing off a bit now. I'll be fine when I've eaten."
She put her head down and fell asleep straight away.
Elina returned with the sandwich
Steve looked at Kelly.
"I'll keep it till she wakes up. Thanks."
He frowned, she really hadn't been herself recently.
Hopefully Lin could put a smile back on her face.
