"Ehhh... gusto ko nga eh!" I said, sounding like a baby.

Azrael's POV

Day 13

Saturday morning crept in, but it wasn't the sunlight that woke me—it was the warmth of Maeve nestled against me, still half-asleep, and the sound of her voice from last night echoing in my head.

"Ehhh... gusto ko nga eh!" she had said, sounding like a baby.

The memory brought a smile to my lips. Maeve was adorable, but beyond that, she was so much more. It had only been days since we began this journey, yet every moment with her felt like a revelation, like peeling back the layers of her heart and soul, and I was falling—hard.

The way she teased, the way she held me, the way she cared—like when she got jealous of Jo, even though she tried to hide it. Her feelings for me were real, and I was starting to feel things I never imagined someone like me could feel.

I watched her as she slept, her breaths slow and steady, her face relaxed in a peaceful slumber. I gently brushed a strand of hair away from her face, careful not to wake her. I could stay like this forever—just holding her, being close to her.

But I knew I couldn't stay. The reality of who I am, of why I was sent here, loomed over me like a shadow. Falling for her was never part of the plan, yet here I was, caught in a web of emotions I couldn't escape.

Today was Saturday, the day we would spend together, but I couldn't shake the feeling that time was running out.

My mission was clear: Maeve was meant to fall for me, and then, in her deepest moment of love and trust, something irreversible would happen. But now... the thought of going through with it felt like a knife twisting in my chest.

I leaned down, placing a soft kiss on her forehead. She stirred slightly, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips, but she didn't wake. I whispered against her skin, "I love you, Maeve. I waited a thousand years just to find love on Earth."

But would she ever know? Would she ever understand why I was here, why I was doing this? Or would she hate me when she found out the truth?

Maeve began to stir, her eyes fluttering open as she looked up at me, sleepy but smiling. "Good morning," she mumbled, snuggling closer.

"Good morning," I whispered back, wrapping my arms around her. "Did you sleep well?"

She nodded, burying her face in my chest. "Mmm, yeah. I like waking up next to you," she said softly, her voice still thick with sleep.

I smiled, though it didn't quite reach my eyes. "I like it too," I replied, my heart heavy with the weight of the secret I carried.

Today, we would spend the day together, and I would make sure it was perfect. I would cherish every moment, every smile, every laugh, because I didn't know how much longer I could keep this up. I didn't know how much longer I could pretend that I wasn't falling for her—truly, deeply, irrevocably falling for her.

But for now, I would hold her close and make her feel loved. Because that's what she deserved, and that's what I wanted to give her, even if it was only for a little while longer.

"What do you want to do today? My treat," Maeve said with a playful glint in her eye.

I responded with a series of gentle kisses on her lips, each one drawing out a brighter smile from her.

"Ako ang nanliligaw, kaya ako ang magbabayad," I said, my voice teasing yet sincere.

"Ehhh... order na lang tayo? Parang ayaw kong lumabas. Gawa na lang tayong little Azra," Maeve suggested, her grin widening as if she had just shared a delightful secret.
