Maeve's pronouns (intersex) - she/her/hers

Maeve was a graduating student at De La Salle University, majoring in Industrial Engineering. She was smart and responsible, but sometimes she couldn't resist going out to party or hang out because of her friends' invitations.

It was undeniable that she was a campus crush and always attracted attention, especially with her long red hair that made her fair skin stand out even more. Many also knew that Maeve was intersex. She might have looked like a girl on the outside, but she had male genitalia. Maeve had a tough demeanor, but despite this, she was very beautiful. The term 'poganda' was often used to describe her, and she attracted both men and women.

Orphaned since childhood, Maeve was supported by her wealthy aunt in America. She was also a scholar, so her aunt's expenses for her were minimal. She chose to stay in the Philippines because her parents' graves were here.

In a quiet coffee shop, Maeve settled into a cozy corner, her nose was buried in a book. She hadn't ordered yet, just enjoying the peaceful ambiance. To her surprise, a waiter approached with a drink.

"Ma'am, here's your matcha latte," said the waiter, placing the drink on the table.

"Hindi pa po ako nag-oorder," Maeve replied, confusion was evident in her voice.

"May nagpapabigay lang po," the waiter smiled before walking away.

Maeve looked at the drink and noticed the name 'Azra' written on it. As soon as she read the name, she felt a sudden sharp pain in her chest, but it passed quickly, and she just shrugged it off.

"Favorite ko pa talaga," she whispered to herself, a small smile was forming on her lips. The unexpected gesture brightened her mood.

Looking out through the glass wall, Maeve's eyes were drawn to an ethereal woman with long, flowing black hair. She stood out, almost glowing. The woman smiled at Maeve—a mysterious, knowing smile that sent a shiver down her spine.

Just then, Maeve's attention was ripped away by the screeching of tires. Across the street, a truck barreled through a red light, striking a man in his twenties. The impact was brutal, and Maeve gasped, her heart was racing.

She quickly turned back to the spot where the mysterious woman had been standing, but she was gone. The eerie emptiness left Maeve feeling unsettled. The woman's enigmatic smile was lingering in her mind.

That night, Maeve went to a bar with her friends. She didn't want to go at first because of the accident she witnessed that morning, but her friends insisted on picking her up at her condo.

Inside the bar, after finding an empty table, Maeve couldn't help but notice a girl letting loose on the dance floor. Her movements were wild and carefree, and Maeve couldn't ignore the way her partner danced intimately close. Their faces were almost touching in the dimly lit room.

"Ung babae sa labas ng coffee shop yun ah," Maeve said, almost to herself, but Nicolai overheard. "Huh? Sino?"

"Ah wala. Nakita ko na kasi kanina sa coffee shop yung babaeng nagwawala sa dance floor," Maeve explained. Nicolai and her other friends, Gwyneth and Johansen, looked over.

Maeve, Nicolai, Gwyneth, and Johansen had been blockmates since their frosh (freshman) year at DLSU. Until now that they were close to finishing their studies, they tried to have the same classes so they could be together during their hangout sessions. Other students at La Salle called them 'Papi' because of their charisma and looks, which could be both pretty and handsome at the same time.

Nicolai, or 'Colai,' was a lesbian. Her eyes were alluring, and her somewhat thick lips added to her beauty. Her black hair fell just past her shoulders. She still liked to dress like a girl, but her style was often masculine. She always seemed angry, but it was just her way of showing affection to her friends. Palaging napipindot si Anger.

Gwyneth was the quietest among them. Her brown hair barely reached her shoulders. Among Maeve's friends, Gwyn was the most sensible. She didn't talk much but always had something meaningful to say. She rarely expressed her feelings, so they weren't sure if she just liked girls, or even guys.

Johansen, known as 'Jo,' was the OA one in the group. She and Maeve both had long hair, but Jo's was black. Jo was more popular with guys and openly bisexual. Unlike her three friends, Jo usually dressed feminine and only occasionally went for a more masculine look.

Maeve couldn't believe she saw the girl again. The stranger was in the middle of the dance floor, radiating an unusual energy as she moved to the music. Her eyes were captivating, as if everyone who saw her fell under her spell.

Maeve couldn't help but stare. It felt like an inexplicable force was drawing her in.

"Uy chicks yan ah!" Jo exclaimed, eyes sparkling. "Kaso bat naman puro pink ung suot niya?"

"Hindi yung naka pink! Ung katabi niyang naka pula na harap lang ang natatakpan," Maeve clarified.

"Ahhh..." Jo, Colai, and Gwyn said in unison.

Their eyes met, and the beautiful stranger smiled as she approached Maeve. "You're next," she said, whispering with confidence.

Maeve was startled, not understanding what the girl meant. Her face was so close that it made the redhead feel nervous. "Ano?"

The stranger flashed a mysterious smile, then glided back to the dance floor, blending seamlessly into the crowd. Maeve stood there, puzzled. Her mind was racing with questions.

All night, Maeve couldn't shake the encounter. Who was this angelic-looking girl with such wild, captivating energy? Was she following her, or was it just a strange coincidence?

At 2 AM, Maeve and her friends decided to call it a night. As they stepped outside, Maeve's eyes caught sight of the girl again. Determined to get answers, she walked over.

"Hi, my name is Maeve. You were at the coffee shop earlier, right?"

The girl turned. Her enigmatic smile was even more alluring in the bright light.

"Hmmm... observant. I like that," said the stranger in a melodic tone.

"Who are you?" Maeve asked again. Frustration was creeping into her voice from the lack of direct answers.

The girl's smile widened, with a hint of mischief in her eyes, leaving Maeve more intrigued and bewildered than ever.

"Azra. Your future girlfriend."
