Fall was finally in full swing.
The air was now much colder, and all the leaves on the campus trees had turned a crisp brown color. You couldn't go anywhere outside without a jacket, and at night, you fell asleep in long pants and oversized sweatshirts.
The sudden change of seasons left you with the usual seasonal allergies, but thankfully, they cleared up just in time for one of the most important events on campus: Erin Phi Delta's Halloween party.
Jungkook had told you about it several weeks back, meaning you had totally forgot about it. It wasn't until days prior when Yeji explained to you that your costume was on its way, and that it'd arrive at your door hours before the party that you remembered.
You weren't too big on costumes. You hadn't gone trick-or-treating since you were ten, so your knowledge on costumes were lower than expected. It didn't take much pleading from Yeji to pick your costume before you agreed.
Now, you were kneeling on the floor of your bathroom, using a pair of sharp scissors to open the costume box. You were unsure of what the costume was, however, you knew it was something stupid.
Yeji kept laughing everytime she brought it up, causing you to feel nervous. You had no clue what laid behind the flaps of cardboard, and you were worried to find out.
Finally the tape was cut open, and you were able to slowly open the box. All seemed well until you noticed a small piece of paper sitting on top of a wrapped costume. You picked up the paper, took a good look at what was pictured on it, then nearly fainted.
Your friend had bought you a Playboy Bunny costume, complete with large ears, a corset, tiny panties, and tights. Your hand slowly reached for the package, unravelling the slutty costume all in one pull.
Your face grew hot as you picked up the small panties. There was no possible way you could've worn that, and you knew it.
"Y/N! Hurry up in there!" Jungkook called out. In times of distress, his annoying voice always seemed to be there.
You stared at the costume, then at the door. In a state of panic, you began shoving the costume back into the box. Then, with a defeated sigh, you slowly opened up the door.
Jungkook seemed to notice your unusual expression quickly. He reached for the door handle slowly before stopping to turn to you.
"What's wrong with you? Costume doesn't fit?"
"No, it's not that," You sighed, holding it close to your chest. As you held it, you realized you only had one option. "It's a stupid costume. I'm not going to the party."
"Oh, come on," Jungkook chuckled, showing off his smile. "Your costume doesn't actually matter. Besides, it can't be that bad."
Oh, but it is that bad.
In fact, it's horrendous.
Jungkook began motioning for you to hand the box over, yet you refused. What started as a simple "hand it here" immediately turned into a full fledged fight, with you running down the hallway and him chasing you.
He laughed the entire time like a maniac while you were focused on getting the box away from him. If he saw the costume, he'd never let you live it down.
"Y/N, I swear it's not that bad! Just let me see!"
"No. Never. It's awful," You cried, standing in a corner. Your head was shoved into it with your back facing Jungkook. It didn't take much force for him to spin you around and grab the box from your hands.
You managed to tug at it one last time, causing the box to fly out of your hands and onto the floor. The two of you looked at the box, noticing two bunny ears sticking out from under it. Jungkook carefully kneeled down, picked the box up, and watched as the entire costume fell out.
