Everything was blurry.

Kakashi blinked a few times and just a few seconds later the battle ground was turned into a playground. The sky was dark, cloudy.

He remembered it all and it was horrifying, the shape truth had taken this time, was the cruelest of what Kakashi had experienced before.

His limbs were numb, really hard to move yet he struggled to stand. He couldn't bear to lose another moment there.

At a distance, he saw a boy under the light of a street light, half of his face scarred and his wrist attached with chains.

That appearance matched the description Minato had given Naruto regarding the mysterious maskman that had caused the nine-tailed attack.

'Obito....'

He seemed lost, still as a statue. Kakashi still wasn't able to overcome the shock of that little innocent boy growing up to be a murderer and starting the fourth great ninja war.

He didn't want to face the Uchiha but he had to get to the battle field.

Kakashi dragged himself near the street light. But the closer he got, the heavier his feet got. At the end he ended up standing few steps away from the bench, unmoving.

Looking at the boy infront of him, he couldn't help but remember the Obito that was revealed when his mask broke. It sent shivers down his spine.

"O-obito...." He finally managed to speak

Obito glanced at him, unfazed. He gently tapped the seat next to him.

Kakashi hesitated but sat beside him.

"So.....how much....did you remember?" Obito said, just a bit more than whisper

"Everything..."

There was an unpleasant silence between them for a long time. Both of them trying to figure out how to get the words out.

"What.....are you going to do now?" Kakashi hesitated

".....try to get back" Obito said

"And....?" Kakashi felt a lump on his throat making it painful to speak

"And...." He pressed his lips in a thin line "complete my dream..."

"I see....ever reconsidered your choice?" Kakashi glanced at Obito

"...... Kakashi, answer me one thing. Why cling to this.... cruel reality when you can just- live a beautiful dream?" Obito's gaze made him shiver

"Because......it's not real. It will eventually break"

"What if it can be forever?"

"......That would be killing your loved once! A disgrace to their memories. Everything in it would be fake"

Obito just stared at him, his eyes were blank. Suddenly he burst out laughing, but it wasn't the kind of laugh that you let out when you're happy. It was the kind, that you let out when you would want to cry but you couldn't.

"F-fake.....huh? At-atleast th-they won't die on m-me!" His laughter slowly died down

"So, we will be there just to kill each other...." Kakashi bit his inner cheek

"No......we'll be there to fight for what we believe "

"But" he sighed "We don't even know how to get out of here...."

"Says who " Kakashi said

".....you found a way?" Obito raised his brows

"That black thing said that,..... I have to feel an 'extreme emotion' or a symbol"

"....yea,so?"

"And what does mangekyo sharingan represent?" Kakashi's blank stare made Obito feel dumb

"Oh! So that's how it is! And that zetsu was saying I had to- nevermind..." He scratched his nape akwardly

Kakashi didn't even have to hear his whole sentence after hearing zetsu's word before 'make the other one fall for him'. Just the thought of it made his face warm.

"Stupid as always...." He whispered while looking away

"Smart as always.... Bakashi" Obito leaned closer

"Then, shall we?" He smiles, a glint of sadness evident on his face

Kakashi looked towards him, their faces just inches apart. Obito lifted up the hitaiate from the silverette's eye.

His sharingan spun to form mangekyo.

"Kamui" he whispered as the swirling chakra devoured both of them into the darkness
