- Third Person POV -
It is nearly midnight when Indra returns, breathless and pale. Lexa's heart leaps into her throat as the woman approaches, her expression grim.

"We found signs of a struggle near the riverbank." She reports, her voice tense. "Footprints, signs of a fight... and then more tracks, leading away from the village, deeper into the woods."

Lexa's blood runs cold. "Were there any signs of Jordan?" She asks, her voice tight with barely restrained fear.

Indra hesitates, her gaze dropping to the ground. "We found these." She says, unsheathing a familiar sword and dagger. Lexa's heart clenches as she recognizes both- Jordan's sword and dagger, the dagger smeared with dried blood.

"She fought back." Indra says quietly, her voice filled with a grim respect. "Whoever took her didn't get away unscathed."

But the knowledge brings little comfort to Lexa. If Jordan has been taken, it meant she was in the hands of someone who wanted to use her-either as a bargaining chip, or worse. Lexa's mind races with the possibilities before settling on one of the two options of the Sky People and the Mountain men, one of their more recent oppositions.

"She's strong," Lexa says, more to herself than to anyone else. "She'll survive the Sky People. She has before and she will again. Send more scouts." She orders, her voice sharp. "I want every inch of the forest searched. We find her, no matter what it takes."

Indra nods and moves quickly to carry out the orders, her own worry for Jordan evident in the tightness of their expressions.

Lexa steps out of the tent, her gaze locked on the darkness beyond, her mind spinning with the possibilities. She has always prided herself on her ability to stay calm under pressure, to make decisions without letting her emotions cloud her judgment. But now, with Jordan's life hanging in the balance, the calm is slipping, replaced by a cold, hard fear she hadn't felt in years.

"Heda, it seems your emotions are driving you." She hears a voice she doesn't want to hear. "Jordan is one of our people, and I do anything to protect our people." She states. "But it's Jordan. Your decision making is affecting not only her but the fatigued groups of warriors you continue to send."

"That is not your concern, Titus. These teams have trained and worked with her and care as deeply as the rest of us of finding her."

"Yes, Heda. But make sure you're making the right decision, or it could end fatally." Titus advises, frustrating Lexa.

The hours drag on, each minute feeling like an eternity. The night is deathly quiet, save for the occasional call of an owl or the rustling of leaves in the wind. Every sound sets Lexa on edge, her senses heightened to a razor-sharp alertness.

Just before dawn, Indra returns, her face pale and drawn. Lexa's heart hammers in her chest as the woman approaches, her breath coming in short gasps from the long journey back to the village.

"We found tracks." She says, her voice trembling slightly. "Leading out of the forest... toward the direction of the Sky People."

The words hit Lexa like a physical blow. The encampment-the remnants of the Ark's leadership, where Jaha and Kane had come from. The realization is immediate and gut-wrenching: Jordan has been captured, taken by those who saw her as a pawn in their games.

"Prepare the horses." Lexa orders, her voice hard with determination. "We journey there. Now."

The warriors spring into action, gathering weapons and supplies, knowing that the dawn will bring with it a confrontation. But Lexa's thoughts are solely on Jordan, on finding her and bringing her back safely. She has already lost too much. She will not lose Jordan. Not now. Not ever.
