Damian sat by the fireplace, its dim light barely pushing back the darkness that filled the room. The sound of the storm outside was deafening, a constant reminder of the isolation they were experiencing. He stared into the flames, his mind drifting to the past.

Daniella paced nervously across the room, her face illuminated intermittently by the lightning that flashed through the windows. She glanced at Damian, her eyes filled with a tumultuous mix of emotions—fear, regret, and something else that she couldn’t quite name.

Flashback

The scene shifts to a bright summer afternoon from a year earlier. The vacation home was filled with laughter and light as Damian and Daniella, along with their families, enjoyed their time together. They were close but always maintained a sense of sibling propriety, until that one afternoon changed everything.

Damian and Daniella had slipped away from the group to explore the hidden corners of the house. They found themselves in a dimly lit attic, dusty and untouched. They began to reminisce about their childhood adventures, and the conversation turned to more personal matters. As they spoke, their proximity grew closer, their breaths mingling in the air.

Daniella's hand brushed against Damian's as she reached for an old photo album. The contact was electric, sending a shiver down her spine. They looked at each other, an unspoken understanding passing between them. In a moment of reckless passion, Damian cupped Daniella’s face in his hands and kissed her. It was a kiss that defied every boundary they had known, a forbidden crossing from sibling affection to something far more intense.

The kiss was brief but profound, leaving both of them breathless. They pulled away, eyes wide with the realization of what they had just done. The weight of their actions settled over them like a heavy shroud. It was a moment that marked the end of innocence and the beginning of a dark and dangerous path.

That memory haunted Damian as he sat in the dim light, the warmth of the fire contrasting sharply with the cold storm outside. He glanced at Daniella, whose anxious pacing had stopped. She stood frozen by the window, her phone clutched tightly in her hand.

The phone buzzed, and Damian’s heart skipped a beat. He saw the notification and his blood ran cold. Huminga siya ng malalim para pigilan ang sariling demonyo na sigawan ang kapatid niya.

Nang lumingon si Daniella ay nagtama ang kanilang mga mata. Damian's cold eyes are focus on Daniella anxious eyes. Damian stood up, his face set in a grim expression. He walked over to Daniella, nag iwas nalang ng tingin si Daniella dahil hindi niya makayanan ang mabigat na tingin na binibigay ni Damian sa kaniya. Saka ito naglakad patungo sa kwarto niya.

A shiver ran down Daniella’s spine as she recalls Damian's stare. The reality of their situation hit her hard. The forbidden nature of their relationship, the risks they had taken—everything was about to unravel.

The storm outside intensified, the rain slashing against the windows as if trying to break into the sanctuary of their home. The room seemed to close in around them, the weight of their secret pressing down with suffocating intensity.

Kahit na walang nakakaalam ay natatakot pa rin akong malaman nila dahil hindi tama ang nagawa namin. Hindi ito pwede para sa ibang tao, mali para sa kanila iyon. Kaya iiwasan ko nalang. It is a Forbidden Desires.
