Hello people, it's been a while. this is a new update and I will update one chapter weekly now. I want us all to enjoy the suspense. I plan on finishing the book before the end of this month. So Let's get it.

I park my car in the school's parking lot and follow the crowd of students who trot into the school. I grip the strap of my bag tighter nervousness clawing at my chest, I take in a deep breath inhaling the different scents of the students including mine, and walk to my locker. Turning the combo, I push my back into the little space I created and grab the books for the first half of school. A hand knocks on the locker beside mine and I don't look up knowing who it is.

"What's up, brother?" I ask chucking back some textbooks to get my literature work and chemistry textbook.

"I could ask you the same thing lover boy" he grins with his statement. I sigh rolling my eyes. The word 'lover boy' gripping my chest, my heart panging with unsettled feelings. My weekend had been a blur after I called Reya. I wanted to know what happened and needed her to talk to me. I told her to trust me and tell me everything that was happening and I would be there for her. It won't take a genius to know how she froze when I said those words meaning something was wrong and deep down. I wanted to get to the bottom of it and it's going to be hard for Reya to let me in deep enough to see the darkness and loneliness she hides. I frown shutting my locker and start to walk towards class.

"You gonna tell me about your date?" he asks spreading his arms out and dropping it. His brows crease when I don't answer him and he stares at me confused. He watches my body language, trying to decipher if I was okay. I roll my shoulders at his question.

"Lunch" is the word I drop and walk into class leaving him standing in front of my class. His eyes dim as he stares at me calculative, I ignore his piercing gaze on my back and let my eyes wander the classroom searching for Reya. Her desk is empty and I frown, she is never this late to school. I walk up to Norman, knocking on his desk he looks up at me. Seeing it's me he throws his head up and down in a sup greeting.

"Have you seen Reya?" I ask him and he frowns. "Shouldn't you know? You were the last person with her last week" I roll my eyes at his bitter tone.

"No genius I saw her off is all and we haven't spoken which is why I asked you." he crosses his arms a distasteful scowl on his lips as he eyes me up and down. I cross my arms in a mocking mimic of his. I'm starting to not like this guy. Our gazes hold, for about a minute or so before he drops his annoying attitude and sighs.

"I tried calling her, but she didn't answer but sent me a text that she would be late" I nod at his explanation and he plugs his earpiece back into his ear going back to scrolling on his phone. I walk to my seat patting Luke my seat partner at his back he looks up watching me pass his back.

He mutters "What's up" to me. I take my seat beside him and nod at his question he nods back pushing his reading glasses up the bridge of his long nose and goes back to reading his literature. I sigh playing with my thumbs as I watch the door. I glance at the clock a few more minutes left before class starts. I pull out my phone from my pocket, unlock it, and open my contacts, I search for Reya's number. My hand hovers over Reya's number, I hesitate in dialling her number because deep down I don't want to be scared. I recall her words "I'm fine Ren you worry too much" She said those words with a smile playing on her lips. To trust her or not. My head plays conflicting thoughts and my hand hovers constantly on the dial button. I sigh and turn off my phone turning the phone screen down on my table.

Let's trust her, I'm sure she's fine.

I open my textbook glancing at Luke's page, I see our reading text and flip to the same page and begin to read. The bell rings a few minutes later and I glance up to check the clock. She is late. I mutter and glance at her table. Just then, Reya walks in and it feels like a rock has been lifted from my chest. I watch her walk to her table. She looks breathtaking as always, she is wearing a white flay skirt with a yellow off-shoulder long-sleeved top. Her dark hair is packed up in a simple tight bun the ponytail resting on her shoulder. She sits and greets Norman with a smile which he returns to her and asks if she is alright. I can read his lips.
