"Hector? Are you in there?" Quirin calls.

I ignore him. I've been through enough today. First, the witch shows up, and second the prophet tells me of my death. I hear another knock on the door. I ignore it. I just need time to collect my thoughts.

"Hector? Are you okay in there?" Rapunzel asks.

How okay do you think I am? Honestly.

"I brought you some cookies." Rapunzel calls.

Cookies? Really? I just learned I'm going to die, and you think cookies is a good idea?

"Come on Hector open the door, we just want to talk." King Edmund calls.

What if I don't want to talk to you?

"Nice room." Cece says.

I jump.

"How did you even get in here?" I ask.

She turns.

"You know what? Don't tell me." I turn.

"I'm sorry about everything." She says.

I ignore her.

"I'm sorry about Penelope." She says.

I strain at that word.

"You don't get to echo her name." I hiss.

"You're right. I'm sorry." She sits down next to me.

"I was so excited to go home, but when I got there-" I can't finish that sentence.

"I know." She lets out a breath.

She looks at my hand. She takes it. I let her.
