I wake up in a startle. Sweat pours down my face. That day... that horrible day. The day I came home after thirteen long years. The day when everything turned red. I stand up. My hands were shaking. I remember the horrors of that sword. What I did with it? I turn. Cece was all curled up but she was shivering. Fine... I don't know why I'm doing this. I take off my cape and I throw it over her. She grips it.
"Aww..." A voice says.
I turn. Rapunzel had this glow in her eyes. I glare at her.
"Ahem... so want to talk about it?" She asks.
"About what?" I walk over.
"The stress. I saw you looking at the faces." She says.
"The Sword of Kronos has powerful dark magic." I say.
I turn and start walking. Rapunzel walks forward with me.
"You can talk, you know." She says.
"Probably not. You wouldn't understand." I sit down on a ledge.
She sits next to me. I scoot away.
"You know, you're not in this alone." She says.
"I'm used to being alone. It's better that people don't get too close to me." I say.
"Are you afraid they'll turn on you?" She asks.
"I'm afraid I'll turn on them." I say.
"Why?" She asks.
"Remember what the prophet said about me?" I ask.
"Yes. Wait... you can't be serious." She says.
"I survived Scylla at a cost. A decision I made. It was a horrible decision. Later, I was almost killed in a mutiny. Take it from me, don't get close to me." I stand up.
"Hector..." She starts.
"Get some sleep princess, we have a long ride ahead of us." I say.
