"Can I have a word your highness?" I ask entering the Caravan.
"Of course, Cece. I'm listening." She puts her notebook down.
I let out a breath. My face feels all hot from last night and my heart won't stop beating.
"You were right." I tuck my hair back.
"You did like him." She smiles.
"Yeah, and we kind of had a first kiss in the pond." I say.
"Oh, that's great! A first kiss?!" She climbs down.
"It was great." I smile.
"That's so wonderful Cece! But... what's wrong?" Rapunzel asks.
"I don't know. When you were with Eugene, how did it feel to be in love?" I ask.
"Well... it felt like the warm sun and your heart exploding." Rapunzel answers.
"It just that, the last time we met, we tried to kill each other." I say.
"Hey, the first time Eugene and I meant I hit him over the head with my frying pan and I locked him in the closet." Rapunzel smiles.
"Hmmhm." I chuckle.
Rapunzel takes my hand. She sits me down on the bed. I look at her.
"The last girl he had didn't turn out well." I say.
"Penelope?" Rapunzel asks.
"Long story short, they had a bit of an argument in the past. It broke him." I say.
"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that. Is he okay?" Rapunzel asks.
"You should ask him. War changes you. More if you cause the war." I say.
