you sat on the couch beside liane, who seemed to be deep in her thoughts.
"auntie, what's going on?" you anxiously fiddled with your fingers. you were basically close to ripping your nails off with how tense the room was.
liane looked at you with sad eyes. "[y/n].." she whispered your name.
you tilted your head at her confusingly. why was the topic of your family stressing her out? and why was she even bringing them up anyways?
it's been over 10 years since you physically saw them, and 3 years since they last called you.
whatever liane was going to tell you, it couldn't be that bad.. right..?
her lips trembled, as if she wasn't didn't want to tell you whatever she had to say.
you awkwardly shifted in your seat, straightening your back to properly sit up. "auntie, you don't have to tell me if it's stressing you out that much.." you reassured her.
she shook her head.
you pursed your lips. "are you su-"
"[y/n], your parents want you to come live with them again."
your breath hitched and your sight instantly became blurry. your parents? want you to come back after literally kicking you out?
tears brimmed in liane's eyes and she looked down at her lap. "i'm sorry.. i tried to change your mother's mind but she refused.. and you know how stubborn she is.." she sniffed, leaving you stunned.
your mouth gaped open. you were so shocked that you didn't realize the tears that were dripping down your cheeks.
you gulped with fear evident in your eyes. you were so damn scared. why did they suddenly want you to come back?
you thought they hated you..
warm tears streamed down your face, and you tried to quickly wipe them away, failing to do so. a low whine emitted from you, catching liane's attention.
liane frowned. "oh, hun.." she sat closer to you, wrapping her arms around your delicate figure, whispering reassurance as you broke down in her hold.
