you let out a small groan when the sun beamed down on your face, making you feel warmer underneath the pile of blankets.
none of your friends have visited you for the past few days due to school opening up again. you heard they got in trouble with the county for closing school without permission.
now you were alone in the hospital. left with your phone that was dry as the sahara desert. no one was texting you, not even your girl friends.
you bit your lip at the thought of your other friends. wendy, bebe, heidi, nichole, maybe leslie?, and red. none of them have messaged you ever since the incident and you were worried that it changed their perspective of you.
the only person who has been visiting you was your father. he had spoken to you about your grandma's funeral and the fact that you had to go to court to talk about your situation with your mother.
remembering your mother's face made your mood sour even more and you leaned further against the fluffy blankets, trying to drown your whole body inside the pile.
"[y/n]? you have a visitor." nurse minji came into your room, smiling at the large pile of blankets on the bed. you poked your head from the pile and nodded, signaling for her to let the visitor in.
your lips parted in surprise when it was eric who walked inside the room.
"hey did yew miss meh?" he smiled smugly.
you rolled your eyes at how annoying he was already being and it had only been five seconds since he entered.
"no," you deadpanned.
"and why are you here?"
eric scowled at your response, and sassily rolled his eyes, "can ah nawt visit? geez."
he sat on the edge of your bed and ruined the pile of blankets, pulling each of them off of you. your lips twitched and you furrowed your brows when you saw his face come into view.
"did you just take away my blankets?"
"yeh. and what are yew going to dew about it?" he taunted, smiling wickedly at you. this hippo just wanted to start an argument with you, it was so obvious.
