you laid on your bed with a dreamy look on your face. you smiled sweetly to yourself, not realizing how long you had been zoning out.
"[y/n]?" your father's voice scared you, "can you come out of your room?"
your smile turned into a frown at the serious tone of your fathers. he hasn't used that tone ever since you had came back live with your parents, so this meant serious business.
you carefully slipped your slippers on and opened the door, peeking your head out. your father was standing outside your room with a distressed expression on his face.
"what happened?" you asked him cautiously. despite being more comfortable around and near him, you were still cautious and scared that he would snap at you again one day.
he let out a frustrated sigh, "it's nothing. but pack your bags because you're going to be staying at eric's house until possibly saturday or sunday." he spoke so fast that you just stood there with wide eyes. the two of you stared at each other until you fully comprehended everything he said and you hesitantly nodded.
"..okay?"
you replied without asking him why. it was scary to see him frustrated or angry. it was even scarier when he took out his anger on you. and you were afraid that would happen again.
so you packed your clothes without asking anything or saying a word.
you packed all your good clothes for school, your comfy clothes for home, skincare, necessities, snacks, literally everything you used everyday.
you tugged on the suitcase with a small gasp leaving your lips. it was so flipping heavy.
"do you need help kiddo?" your father saw you struggling with carrying the suitcase, and before you could decline- he took the suitcase from your grasp and put it in his trunk.
sometimes you just forgot your father wasn't an alcoholic anymore.
"does auntie liane know that you're dropping me off?"
he nodded and you felt yourself calm down knowing that your aunt was fine with you staying over.
it has been already almost two months since you used to live with them.
