Chapter 65 - A Game For Two

Sin's POV

Gail and I remained in the same position on the floor for for a good moment before her sobbing stopped.

I'd realised that she'd fallen asleep, so  I did what any 'gentleman' would've done. I took her up to my room.

I laid her on my bed and I watched her shift a little to get comfortable.
I observed her for a second.

Her hair was sprawled onto her face, some strands sticking to it courtesy of the perspiration on her face.

The room was silent so I could hear her soft breathing. Her face looked so angelic, so delicate that I had the urge to touch it but I stopped myself.

She looked so peaceful that I'd almost forgot the scheming girl that I'd found her out to be. Any person looking at her right now would never guess how far from innocent she was.

I wasn't any person though, I knew her truth.

She was no angel.

I'll let her sleep, because it might just be the last ounce of peaceful sleep she'll be getting from here on after.

I made my way to my closet and changed my shirt, which was now dampened by Gail's tears.

I pulled out another one identical to it and put it on.

I looked myself in the mirror as I buttoned it up, leaving the first three buttons undone, displaying the silver cross that always lay on my neck.

I've always been a person who faces everything hurled at my direction head on.

Even when attacking, I don't do it from the back. I want my victim to look me straight in the eyes when I drain their life from them. CK knew this very well and despite that he made the low blow of attacking me from behind.

He was playing dirty and I unfortunately happen to believe in tit for tat and if he was playing dirty then that's exactly what I too was going to do.

I already knew the truth about the spy in my premises but what I wanted, I wanted Luna Winters herself to confess to being a snitch. I wanted her to admit who she was and who she was working for right at my feet.

When she does confess, I will have had broken her in ways she'd never known to be possible. I'd have shattered her soul to the point where she'll not only be choking out the truth but she'll be desperately begging me to to take her life.

Which I'll do, gladly.

With regards to her boss CK, I have other plans for him and they're dangerously far from good.

If that's how you wanna move CK.

Then two can play that game.

"Why are we here again?" Asked Kylie as she checked the time on her phone.

"Your guess is as good as mine?" Tory replied, soon after looking at me expectantly, clearly waiting for me to disclose the reason behind me calling everyone together.

We currently were sitting in my study, me, Carina, Tory, Kylie, Kylie's mother Mrs Black and well, Travis.

I had a very strong dislike towards the man. Especially since the so called affair that he and Miss October had been accused of having which inadvertently got her fired by Carina and out of her good graces.

That same affair that my tech guy Anthony deemed to not be real after he analysed the video that sparked those accusations.

Now with Kylie being the one who laid the accusation on Gail and Travis and him not denying what they were being accused of despite knowing that it wasn't true, his character was looking quite sketchy.
