After that night, Damon didn't meet Alex again, neither his friend, Michael. He was relieved that he didn't have to deal with them, but Domenico was in trouble. He wasn't allowed to stay out alone anymore, and most of his free time, he was trapped in his bedroom. Damon was afraid his cousin would put them both in more trouble if he continued meeting Monica. Domenico hated Damon's restrictions but followed them closely as he had to.
When Deetra and James returned to the mansion, it was evening. Damon was alone in the living room, enjoying a glass of expensive red wine. His fingers were wrapped around the glass as he brought it closer to his lips being on his phone. Deetra chuckled, leaving the suitcase in front of him before crossing her arms. Her brother raised his glare and looked at her and then at James, who was panting.
"Oh, you're back. Such a shame."
"Where's Domenico?"
Damon rolled his eyes, seeing his sister refer to their cousin without losing time. She was glancing around, but he was nowhere to be found.
"He started seeing a girl and got us in trouble. I made him stay inside, and he pouts all the time! She's that kid's ex-boyfriend or something.... ya know, the one that had attacked us."
"Alex?"
"A kid attacked you?"
James added with a giggle, raising his eyebrow before looking at Damon. He puffed and let the glass on the coffee table.
"Just some teenager that lives off drugs and tried to steal from me."
"Well, did he get anything?"
James spoke, lifting his hand; Damon laughed in return before answering,
"A nasty scar."
James sighed and looked away. "I'll take the suitcases to our room...." he mumbled under his breath as Deetra nodded. "Do you need any help, darling?" she pushed her palm on his shoulder, but he shook his head. "I'm fine, no worries," James smiled, grabbing the suitcases and walking upstairs. Deetra sat beside her sibling and crossed her legs. Her eyes were on the glass as Damon smiled, grabbing it and handing it to her. She giggled and had a sip tasting the crimson red wine.
"I saw how you were staring at it, so here, just have it."
"I hope Domenico isn't "heartbroken" now that he can't see his chick."
Damon shrugged and stood up to go and prepare another glass of wine for him.
"It's just a girl, Deetra; he can find another fish in the sea."
"Well,"
Deetra glared at the glass before moving it around her fingers gently. The wine was hitting against the glass shining under the light.
"There are plenty of fishes in the sea, Damon, but you still were stuck at catching a... particular one."
Damon turned around, leaning against the wall while holding a new glass. He gulped and laughed awkwardly before drinking some.
"That's... different."
"How's so?"
"Abigail at least liked me for real...!"
"She liked you so much that she had a kid with another man!"
Deetra laughed loudly; Damon turned red and tried to hide his face. Okay, maybe Abigail ended up marrying and having a family with someone else, but that didn't mean THAT much. A small part of Damon still believed that Abigail liked him a tiny bit; she just didn't want to admit it because of Mason.
"S-She likes me!"
"Damon,"
Deetra stood up and walked straight to her brother with a groan. She crossed her arms and started talking in an angry tone.
