Chapter 11: Cheating Revealed

I couldn't look at Lijah when he brought me up to his room. He knew I was in pain, so he let me be for a while. He sat me on the bed, as I was just curled up in a ball in my own bubble. He sat on the opposite side of the room reading a book, like usual. Eventually, I went up to him, and sat on the opposite side of the table. He noticed me, and said, "Scarlet, are you ready to talk?" He said, still reading his book not looking at me.

"Yes..." I replied.

"OK. I know this is extremely hard for you to just see your brother turn into a hybrid. It's not the easiest thing to see. Believe me, I've helped my dad torture Niklaus a long time ago." He said.

"You have?" I said.

"Yes, I have. I'm sorry that I couldn't help you. Hayley needed help." He said.

"So you pick her, over me. No wonder why, since YOU got her pregnant Lijah." I said standing up.

"Scarlet!" He said holding my arm, stopping me from leaving the room.

"Leave me alone, Elijah." I said walking out of the room. I left the house and I saw Damon, Stefan, and Matt outside.

"So how'd it go, Blondie?" Damon asked me.

"I don't want to talk about it." I said.

"Well, judging by what I heard, it sounds like you broke up with Elijah." He said, replying to me.

"WE WERE NEVER GOING OUT! IT WAS ONE DATE, DAMON!" I said yelling, "Now just take me home!" I said walking towards the back seat. As I passed the back of Matt's truck, I saw Patrick's body. Ew. They drove me home first, and then my brother.

When I got into the house, Bonnie came running downstairs. "Oh my god, Scarlet. I'm so sorry." Bonnie said.

"Don't be." I said walking upstairs.

"Well I am. I could've came over to the house and stopped him." She said.

"Well why didn't you?" I asked, "He'll never be the same again." I replied.

"I was helping Hayley..." She said.

"What is so special about Hayley? Huh? Why does everyone help her over me?!" I yelled.

"Scarlet, you don't understand." She said.

"No, I think I do! She's pregnant with Elijah's baby, and she is half human, half hybrid. You obviously think she's more important than me. Plus, Elijah went out with me while he is supposed to be a dad! How should I feel in this situation, Bonnie?" I said raising my voice.

"Scarlet, that's not right." She said.

"What do you mean? It's Elijah's baby!" I said.

"No..it's not. It's Klaus' baby. Who told you that?" She replied confused.

"Klaus told me that it was Elijah's baby." I replied annoyed. He lied to me to make me think Elijah was cheating on me so I could go to him.

"Well, he lied." Bonnie said, "Scarlet, Elijah loves you. He would never do that." She said.

"But if he doesn't have feelings for her, why was he with her?" I asked.

"I don't know. I guess he heard her yelling." She said.

"But he saw me with Klaus before he turned Patrick into a hybrid." I said.

"Then I don't know. I'm sorry Scarlet. You have a tough decision to make." She said, "I'll let you figure it out. Stay safe." She said, walking into the bathroom. I said bye to Bonnie, and headed out to the porch.

I took my phone out once again, and called Matt again. After a few rings he picked up again.

"Hello?" He said through the phone.

"Hey Matt." I spoke.

"How you doing?" He replied.

"Uh, I'm ok. I'm just confused."

"Erm, about what?" He asked.

"Hayley."

"Oh the crazy werewolf who got knocked up by Klaus?"

"I don't know. I guess. I broke up with Elijah because Klaus told me that it's Elijah's baby."

"Oh no. It's Klaus' baby."

"But why did Elijah go to Hayley while I was being held captive by Klaus?"

"I don't know. That's weird. Maybe he has feelings for her or something, Scar. I'm sorry. Why don't you talk to him about it?"

"Oh hell no."

"Ok, then have Rebekah talk to him about it. I mean, she is your best friend."

"And your lover. Thanks bub." I said, "I'll talk to you later for an update."

"Hahah, ok Blondie. Just call me if you need anything." He said hanging up.

I thought that I would put a hold on that call for Rebekah to talk to Elijah. It was late, so I went to bed.

~Time skip to Tuesday after school~

When I got out of school, Rebekah and I met up with everyone. We were heading to the dress shop. It was called Camille La Vie.

Since it was prom season, they had prom dresses out. Oh my, was I in heaven. I looked around with Caroline, and I pulled out a baby blue dress that was strapless, and it was long with sparkles on it. it was a slim dress, and it was so beautiful. I picked out a couple of other dress that varied in colors, and I was ready to try them all on.
