When I reached eye contact with him, he instantly knew how I felt. I didn't want to see him or talk to him, and he wanted the complete opposite. I bet that he was waiting outside the house the whole afternoon because someone told him that we were out and about. I took my phone out, and Rebekah locked the car doors, as she knew that he would come over and get into the car.

I texted Elena saying, 'Did you, Bonnie, or Caroline tell Elijah that Rebekah and I went out?'

"Rebekah, I don't know how I can get into the house without him seeing me." I said anxiously.

"Relax. He isn't invited into the house anyway, so you have absolutely nothing to worry about. We can't even invite him in, and neither can you, so please stop worrying about it." She replied. DING. Elena texted back.

'No, no one has said anything. We didn't realize you guys went out until about 1. Why? Is he outside again?'

I responded saying, 'He is...'

Bekah seems to be so calm about this while I'm panicking. "I don't know what to do...if he tries to get back with me...it's just going to be so hard." I said.

"How is that going to be so hard?" Bekah asked.

"Maybe it's because I'm starting to go out with Damon..." I said softly.

"YOU WHAT?!?!" She screamed. Elijah was way more attentive right now, and he started to walk up to the car from the front porch. "Oh, crap." She said.

"Bekah, what are we going to do?" I asked with more anxiety.

"Your more worried about us getting away from Elijah than talking about how you are almost dating Damon?! Scarlet, I don't know what I'd rather do right now." She replied getting loud. He was still walking over to the car door, and he was getting closer.

"Can we please not talk about this right now? I just want to get back in the house as safely as possible." I said louder. He was close to the door, and he got there rather quickly. He was staring at me through the window, but I did not make eye contact with him. He tried to open the door, but it was locked. So, he had no access into the car, which is what I wanted. I wanted him to completely get away from me. I am not ready to talk to him at all.

"Scar, I think it's time that you talk to him about the situation..." She said faintly. Elijah was still looking at us through the window.

"Are you serious? I'm not ready to talk about it. It's been two days." I said.

"Your treating like it's been two days, but it's really been more than that." She said.

"Really?" I responded.

"No. Just please go talk to him about this. It's not right for you to shut him out of your life yet, Scar. Please, just get out of the car and talk to him. Even if you don't think you'll get back together, then that's fine. At least you can then hear his opinion, and then decide on what you wish to do after that. Now, you go talk to him, and I will put the bags inside and leave you two alone. No eavesdropping will occur. Trust me." She said. I was hesitant to look at the door. I put my hand on the lock, and unlocked it. Elijah opened the door for me, and he held out his hand. I looked up at him, and his eyes were bloodshot red, like they've been shot by a bullet. I knew he was just upset as I was. He hugged me instantly as I got out of the car. I knew he wasn't ok with me not being by his side. Then I wonder who got Hayley pregnant?

After the hug, which felt like it lasted forever, I started to make eye-contact with him again, which was such a hard thing for me to do. When we reached the porch, we sat down on the bench next to the door, and we started to talk. "Elijah-" He started to cut me off instantly.

"Scarlet, don't talk. Just listen to me. You don't have to get back with me if you don't wish to. I understand that you may want to consider someone else," He said, as he was trying to contain his tears, "I love you. I don't think you know that, but I do really love you so much. I know why you broke up with me, and I was not the one who got Hayley pregnant. I don't know who told you that, but whoever said that, they're completely wrong. It was Niklaus, I know, stereotypical thing for him to do, but yes, he did it. He was having an affair with Hayley. Now I'm going to leave you be, and I don't think I deserve to keep you by my side." He said standing up and walking away slowly.

Bekah was watching from the car with her mouth wide open. I had to do something. "Lijah, wait. Please." I said running after him and grabbing his hand. He turned around and looked at me faintly. "I didn't know it was Klaus. People were telling me it was you who did it. Plus, I don't even know who to trust anymore."

"I knew there was a--" I cut him off.

"Shh, please listen. I just am not ready to do anything right now. I still need some space, and it still doesn't seem like you actually know how to give me that space. I don't mean to rain on your parade, but I just think it's best that we go our separate ways for now until I can figure things out on my own. I'm sorry, and I really don't even know who to believe right now." I said to him, and I walked into the house on my own, with Rebekah speechless in the car.
