By now my time at the club had been known. I was obvious in all sorts of ways. Sure I had worked for the boss of the joint but I was a free roaming entity. Even Veer didn't have the strange twisted status I had.

I was a roaming particle.

Day shift visits were now common, new at first but with the progress of new work and more and more clients wanting to visit our "fun" office, we began exposing clients to the lunch hour at the club.

This brought a new dynamic to the gist of my pending and unraveling psychosis. The club's hold on me was fading. I was repairing my relationship while at the same time exploring a new dimension of the club- by daylight.

In reality, I figure Vera wanted me to get normal. It was all normal to her. There wasn't any twist of darkness in her eyes it was club, it was good time, and nothing more. She liked the loyalty I gave her I suppose.

To me it was escape. Escape from the work, escape into work but with ladies near by. More and more girls I didn't know approached me as if they knew me.

"You work here don't you... " a new girl asked me.

It was an opportune time to make up something wonderful I thought to myself. Bring on a new trait, expose some crazy story.

"I'm doing a study on the effects of strippers on today's youth... " I picture myself saying, seeing the wonder cross their eyes reeling as to what exactly that line meant.

"Yeah i work with Joe, do the website etc.." I said aloud, dispelling the fantasy of something different.

"Yeah cause you're always in here..." she said pausing for a second and began to walk away .

Yes I was always in here.

The day shift was different. I'd lug my laptop in, take a booth which normally I hated booths but this one seemed to fit me, and I worked or at least it looked that way. I liked working at the club. It allowed me to have all the aspects of luring looks and wonders without being a ringside douche bag. Though I was just as bad probably. Many a girl would sneer at me with the laptop wondering wtf is up with this guy. The girls generally left me alone, overtime this would kind of brand me as that big ass geek.

This usually worked in my favor in that I actually could get a shit ton of work done at the club, while at the same time enjoy a beautiful view.

"If you're gonna stare you oughta tip.." the shot warden expressed, checking her phone sitting in the booth across from me.

Sophie was my Wednesday routine waitress. She was short, cute, and really rocked the personality button for me. She probably thought I was a bit odd but largely harmless. She would help me navigate girls and the club from time to time. Another therapist for me.

I got up to tip the girl on the stage she was tall and of course beautiful. Sitting back down the Sophie clued me into a reality I had not realized.

"Parker you need a shot.." she said.

"Really?" I said curiously unaware but I knew how this game worked. See the shot warden wanted a shot too and i was easy, I wanted everyone to have fun.

"So be it..." I said watching her take off for the bar. Veer loved this girl I thought to myself watching her walk away. Veer noted her long ago and actually started me on this day shift thing only to leave me here on several occasions. He was in far better shape than I when it came to the club.

Occasionally I'd catch Sophie working the second stage pole, swinging as if she had danced once before. She did, but now did not. A tale locked away, she was intent on making sure of that.
