Kane was trying to ignore the fact that yui existed, but that just made him more aware of him.

"What's your deal?" Kane asked as he stared down at his book

"My deal?" Yui looked up from his book, unsure of what Kane meant

"What's your end game with that act of yours?" Kane now looked up at yui, who he thought was playing dumb

"What act?"

"Cut the crap will you? What do you want with my brother," Kane demanded an answer as he placed the book down and stared directly at yui

"Right, he's your 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 so i don't know why you're acting like that. You're not his lover to interrogate me about why i approached him," yui laid back on his chair and folded his arms as he spoke

"I don't have to explain to you why I want to keep my brother safe from a rusty critter that probably crawled out of hell to ruin his life,"

"I don't sense any good intent from you, and I really don't need any more competition, I already have to deal with those bastards." Kane clearly showed his annoyance

"Alright, guys, I found something really interesting. Look at this book," mekei rested an old looking black book that marked 'Old Magic' on the table

"That isn't creepy at all mekei," Kane said in a sarcastic tone as he looked at it

"What might we need this for?" Yui asked as he poked it

"It's says 'Old Magic,' so we could use this to find out the first generation of powers," mekei responded as he opened the book

"Ok, let's be careful with that," yui stood up and took the book away from mekei

"Hey!"

"Alright, let's see...mmmh," yui began to read and turn the pages when something seemed to have caught his eye

"What are you looking at?" Kane asked as he got up and walked towards yui

"I think it's a spell, doesn't say what it's for, tho," yui answered

"..." Mekei was behind the two, cursing both of them in his mind

"Mekei, take that book away from them before they do something stupid," ceal suddenly warned but was too late. yui already began to read the spell out loud

A bright blue light shined from out the book, and eventually, it consumed both yui and kane while ceal just pushed mekei away from it, the eye blinding light seemed to have not alerted the other people it the library by some miracle.
