Chapter 5

Violet groaned and at her alarm going off, before getting up and walked into her walk into the bathroom in her office and got changed into her outfit which was a Reiss burgundy wrap dress which she paired with a pair of black opened toe Louis Vuitton heels that had red bottoms on the sole, she put her hair into a slick back ponytail secured with a burgundy hair tie, she finished of the look with her make up and her signature red lipstick. She walked out the bathroom and over to her small tea station in her office. She rings her security guard Mike and let him know she was at the office and could he bring one of her cars for her and to come to her office when he arrives before hanging up the phone.

A knock at her office door grabs Violet's attention and calls out to whoever it was to come in and greets Mike when he comes into the office "morning Mike, just to let you know I have a guest coming today for lunch, she is to be let in and took through security by yourself her name is Amelia Roberts but goes by Mia, she has red hair and is around 5'4 tall, I have a picture for you and she is to be brought to my office immediately by yourself" Violet says slipping into boss mode "yes Miss Luthor she will be brought up by myself personally" Mike says and checks his phone seeing his boss has sent him the picture of her guest "thank you Mike you are free to go and get on with your jobs, I will be in my office all day, good morning Lucy what is on todays agenda" Violet says to her body guard and watches as he walks off after checking her office and turns her attention to her assistant who had walked into the office for a quick meeting with her boss "good morning Miss Luthor and you have no meeting today apart from one that is scheduled for 1pm until 5pm but doesn't state what it is" Violet hears her assistant say from behind her, she sits down and loads up her computer and grabs some files from her bag "yes I have a guest coming, and will need lunch bringing my usual for me and a vegetarian meal please from my usual lunch place, could you go grab it at 12:30 and you should be back before my guest will be here" she says to Lucy who jots down what is being said "that is all Lucy thank you" Violet says dismissing her assistant.

Violet was thankful that her sister had messaged last night with a photo of Mia and telling her that Mia would be with her for 1pm that day and she is a vegetarian as well, Violet works all morning and isn't interrupted and gets a lot of work done, but knew it was going to be a long night once she leaves for the day and that is a big 'if' though, she said she would drop Mia off at the nursery for 5:30 that evening because Lottie has took Mia's car that morning to work. She works until she is interrupted by her office phone ringing and she looks at the clock and sees its 12:50 "hello" she says down the phone "Miss Luthor I have your lunch for you and you guest here" Lucy says to her boss "bring it in for me please and put it on the table" Violet says to her before hanging up and watches as Lucy walks in and places the food on the table "Lucy, you are free to go for the day, I'll be leaving once I have had this meeting" Violet says and dismisses her assistant for the day and gets up and puts the food out on the table and sits back at her desk to work some more until Mia arrives.

Mia walked up to building that Charlotte has given her the address for and was wondering if she had the wrong address, she walked towards the entrance and I stopped by a large man who is wearing all black with security written in small writing in white in the corner "name and reason for being here" Mia hears him say in a gruff voice "hi Amelia Roberts here to see Violet Luthor" Mia says and watches him pull out a tablet and pulls something up and hold the tablet next to her face "come in Miss Luthor is expecting you" the man says to her and leads her into the building.

"place all belongs on here and walk through the scanner, make sure nothing metal is on your person" Mia does as she's told and walks through the scanner and grabs her belongs from the tray "please wear this and do not take it off its for your safety and protocol that you wear it" the man hands Mia a lanyard and she places it around her neck and follows the guard to a lift and he presses a button and scans a pass and the lifts moves upwards. The lift eventually comes to a stop and the guard guides Mia down a hallway and stops at a desk where a young woman is sat packing up her belongings "Lucy I have Miss Luthor's guest here Miss Roberts for the meeting at 1pm" the guard tells who Mia guesses is Lucy who grabs the phone and speaks "Miss Luthor your guest is here" she hangs the phone and turns to the guard "send her in" she says to him before grabbing her stuff and leaves the floor, the guard gently takes Mia into a large office with a view of the whole city and sees a blonde sat at her desk with her back to them in her chair. "Thank you, Mike, I will let you know when I'm going" Mia hears the blonde say to the Mike the guard who nods and leaves the office and Mia just stands there confused as who this person was until she turned and looked at Mia and she couldn't believe she was looking at Charlottes little sister Violet because she looked different then she did yesterday.
