Chapter 19

TW: mentions miscarriage

Four days later and nobody had heard from Violet, Marjorie had broken up with Reece after seeing how he acted that Friday night; everyone was shocked at what Violet said but her family were stunned at what she went through and it made sense on why she threw herself into her work 4 years ago, she hadn't just ended a relationship but had lost her baby 2 days later; the only person who knew about the loss was Daniel Luthor. He found out when he went to see his youngest and spend time with her and he walked in to her sobbing sat in blood, he rushed her to the hospital where it was confirmed the baby hadn't survived and had no heartbeat. He held his baby girl and asked her what she wanted to do and she turned to him and said go home back to her apartment and she asked him not to mention this to anyone especially the family, Daniel reluctantly agreed to not say a word and had to sit back and watch his daughter throw herself into her work and nearly kill herself in the process.

Autumn was worried about her girlfriend, she had stayed at her apartment and slept on the couch, she was furious at her brother for what he had said about Violet and her relationship with Autumn. She didn't go into work hoping that Violet would come out but she never left her bedroom, all she wanted was to hold her girlfriend and be there for her. Charlotte had been messaging her asking for updates on her little sister and Autumn couldn't give her any because Violet hadn't made a sound at all and or left her room in the full four days. She was sat on the couch when she heard a door from further inside the apartment unlock and open, she didn't move when she heard light footsteps heading her way; her heart broke when she saw her girlfriend come into the living room. Violet's mind was racing she couldn't believe everything she had said, nobody but her dad knew what happened 4 years ago and she didn't know how to process with everyone finding out the way they did. She hadn't eaten or slept in 4 days, she just been crying and ignoring her phone; she didn't want people to see her like this. She finally got the energy to get out of bed and leave her room for the first time in 4 days, she walked along the corridor and entered the living room and stopped when she saw her girlfriend sat there with her phone and she noticed that she had a quilt and pillows on the couch, and realised that Autumn has been sleeping on her couch for 4 days.

Autumn looked at her girlfriend and saw she had red puffy eyes, she was wearing the same clothes from 4 days ago, her hair was a mess and she looked pale and tired. "hi my sweet" Autumn whispered and Violet looked at her like she was insane "why are you here" Violet asked her not moving from where she is stood "I didn't want you to be on your own, so I've been sleeping here and going home to change and shower before coming back" Autumn said and slowly stood up "I thought you would have left" she heard the blonde whisper quietly shocking her with what she asked "why would I have left my sweet" Autumn asked the blonde and stopped walking when she was at a distant that if Violet wanted her she could reach her "because I punched your brother, and from what I said would have made anyone leave" the blonde says whilst looking at Autumn "I thought you punching my brother was hot my sweet, and what you said wouldn't have made me leave, it is a part of you okay I want to talk to you and help you heal my love, what you said hasn't made me love you any less, in fact it made me love you more" Autumn whispered and walked a bit closer to the blonde.

Violet looked shocked "you love me still" she asked Autumn "yeah I love you and everything about you, your past, present and what the future may hold for you I will always love you to the moon" Autumn says to her and Violet felt tears in her eyes and she ran to her girlfriend and cried into her chest. Autumn picked up Violet and carried her to the couch and gently sat down on the couch with the blonde on her lap "listen darling I get why you haven't said much about what you went through okay, and I know you would have eventually told me okay, it's like I haven't told you everything okay about myself, we have only just started to date; we have been together for 2 months we agreed we would go slow and we have done that we have talked and got to know each other but we haven't discussed everything okay, that is what being in a relationship is about, we learn about each other as we grow" Autumn said and gently took hold of Violets chin to make her look at Autumn so she could tell she was serious "also we haven't even talked about babies or children okay, I'm guessing if we had you would of told me about it okay" she carries on and knew she would have to talk about this now.

"Okay, I love you, thank you for staying and you're right if we had talked about babies, I would have told you about the miscarriage, but since we are on the subject could we talk about it know" Violet asked Autumn before moving so she was straddled across Autumns lap with her legs on either side of the brunette "sure we can, where do you want to start" Autumn said and gripped Violets hips to keep her still when she wriggled on her lap to get comfy "well how do you feel about babies, do you want them or no" Violet asked Autumn "I would love to have children of my own, how do you feel about it" Autumn asked the blonde "I want my own kids, but I gave up on the idea after everything but since I met you and if we work out and in the future I could see us having children" Violet said honestly to her girlfriend "I feel same baby, when I think of the future I see a blonde little toddler, a brunette toddler and us two sat on the couch and you with a pregnant belly reading to them whilst I sat with you rubbing your stomach" Autumn said and the image popped into her head and she could feel herself smile at the image even though it wasn't real. Violet looked at Autumn when she described the image she saw and Violet fell in love with the brunette just a tiny bit more "really, three children sound like the perfect number" she whispered to the blonde and she wriggled to get comfy on Autumns lap "okay so since we have discussed that, we need to talk about something else first" Autumn said not knowing how her girlfriend is going to react to this piece of information "what babe" Violet asked wondering what it was "I know we haven't had sex yet and agreed to go slow but you little miss have been teasing me with your outfits and it's starting to drive me insane, however I need to tell you something okay" Autumns says whilst looking at the blonde who was fully paying attention to the brunette "I was planning on telling you this okay, I wasn't every not going to say nothing okay, I was waiting for the right time, and I think now is the best time to tell you that I was born intersex" Autumn said and quickly looked away from the blonde.

She felt the blonde shift on her lap before she felt her hands on her face making her look at the blonde "thank you for being brave and telling me something that isn't to tell anyone, I still love you, I'm not going to run away because you have an extra part to you, but I do have two questions okay" Violet said to the shocked brunette who looked at her waiting for the questions "first question and I need to know this just so I know what we need to plan okay, are you fertile like could you get me pregnant and second question the reason you don't let me sit on your lap when we are making out is because of your 'little' friend" Violet asked Autumn, "to answer the second question but yes when you wriggle your butt on my lap it makes my 'little' friend not so little, and I understand why you have asked the first question and the answer is yes, I could get you pregnant" the brunette answers honestly. Violet looked at her girlfriend and got to thinking "so we have a small issue about preventive methods for pregnancy" Violet says to her she quickly carries on when she sees Autumn looking at her "I went on birth control when I 15 my periods are really bad so I thought going on birth control would help, however it came back I'm allergic to something in the pill, that they also use in the jab and IUDs, so me going on birth control can't happen" she quickly explains to the brunette "okay first question how bad do your periods get, also we can use condoms, I know they are not 100% effective but its better to use them when we eventually have sex" Autumn says "my periods heavy but the cramps are the worse though, they sometimes make me not be able to walk, I get moody and everyone at the company avoids me 1 week of every month" Violet says with a small chuckle remembering how everyone at Biocorp had avoided her when she came in when she was on her period and everyone seemed to off disappeared when she was walking the building.

Autumn chuckled at her girlfriend when she heard about everyone avoiding her "so what you're saying is that one a month people avoid you because you could snap at them" she asked the blonde on her lap "pretty much, ask Lottie or my dad, they always knew when I was on my period because I would either snap or cry at anyone, my mum was the only one who I wouldn't snap at because I became clingy to her and would just sit in her lap and cry in pain." Violet says before kissing her girlfriends nose "wait is that 1 week of the last 2 months we have been dating, you say your busy with work" Autumn says realising now why her girlfriend was suddenly 'busy' one week of every month "pretty much" Violet simply says before sighing and leaning her head on Autumns shoulder "well not this month, don't hide from me okay" Autumn whispers before asking a question she was nervous to ask "baby what happened that night of the miscarriage" she asked Violet and noticed she had stiffened when she asked the question.
