Chapter 24

After a crazy weekend with her nieces, Violet dropped Autumn off work and went back to the penthouse, she walked in and decided to clean and tidy up after the weekend. Violet had just finished with tiding the living room when the buzzer for the intercom went off, she walked over to it and pressed the answer button "who is it" she asked "it's me Ettie and mum" she heard her sisters voice come through "come up" she said wondering why they had used the call button instead of the passes they had. She walked over and unlocked the door and opened it and watched as her mum and sister get out the lift "why didn't you use your passes" she asked when they were closer "we wasn't sure if you was in" Charlotte said to her "ohh I'm working from home all week" she said letting them into the suite and walked into the living room and sat on her couch, "never thought I would hear them words come out your mouth" her mum said with a chuckle "well after being away for a month working I gave Lucy the week off and did the same" she said agreeing with her mum.

"Why are you both here" she asked the pair and noticed they shared a look with each other before her mum turned to her "we wanted to make sure your okay sweetie" her mum said to her "I'm fine, everything for the ball is done just need outfits now for everyone and then we are good to go" she said and saw her sister and mum get a confused look on their face "what do you mean outfits for everyone" her sister asked "ohh right I forgot, hold on one minute" she said before walking to her office and grabbing the invites for everyone "here Lottie there is two for you and Mia, when  I pick up Autumn I will give everyone else their invites and yours and dads are here mum" she said whilst handing her mum two invites and Lottie two keeping the rest in her hand "wait your inviting us to the ball, you normally keep us away from it what's different this year" her sister asked in shock "well obviously Georgia and Elena won't be able to come because I'm not feeding my nieces to the press and I know you Lottie would kill me if I did, but your my family and it won't be fair for me to take Autumn and not everyone else" she explained to her mum and sister, she had asked Autumn last night to be her date and she had agreed to come.

Charlotte was stunned her sister had invited everyone even Clodagh Sorscha's wife to the ball, she knew her sister was trying to be more open to everyone but still making sure that Charlottes daughter weren't in the news or anything "that's very kind of you Ettie and I'm sure Clodagh and Sorscha would love to have a night off from mummy duties" Charlotte said to her sister "yeah I know that little Quinn will be nearly 4 months old so they might feel more relaxed to leave her with a sitter, there is one for Carly but she needs to get parental permission though saying she can come even if it's a phone call from her mum and dad telling me she's okay to go, only because she's 17 and there will be press there" Violet said. Charlotte couldn't believe how thoughtful she was being and new she would make a great mum someday "I have Carlys mum's number I can ring her now" Charlotte said before pulling out her phone and quickly ringing the number and putting it on speaker "hello Charlotte is Carly okay" they heard Carly's mum ask Charlotte "yeah she's fine but I have a question for you" Charlotte said to her "ohh what's that" Carly mum asked "I'll let my sister explain since it's her who needs to ask it" Charlotte explained "ahh Carly had said you had a little sister but she didn't really give much details on who she is" Carly's mum said "wait Patricia is that you" Violet asked Carly's mum "Miss Luthor" Patricia asked "OMG Patricia how are you, how is the hospital doing with the new equipment" Violet asked her "the equipment is doing really well Miss Luthor, we are looking forward to ball" Patricia said over the phone "that is the question I wanted to ask you, I wanted to let you know I had met Carly and have an invite for her to attend the ball in a few weeks" Violet said and ignored Charlottes shocked faces "she can go to the ball if she wants, just ask her I understand why you got Charlotte to ring me Miss Luthor" Patricia says too her "You don't have to call me Miss Luthor unless we are in a meeting or in a professional environment" Violet said before they quickly said their goodbyes and hung up the phone.
