Chapter 10

Violet hung up the call and went back to work, she felt really sick and really tired; Violet knew she was exhausted but she kept on working, she had papers all over her desk and table and she was working on an developing a new prototype but the science wasn't working she kept on working on it and finally got to the bottom of it, she finally finished the design concept for a new diagnostic device that would hopefully help with diagnosing illnesses quickly so people can get the right treatment sooner. She walked over to her desk and the sickness was getting worse, her body felt tired, she just sat there with her head in her hands; she doesn't know how long she was there before she heard voices outside the room, but she ignored them and went back to researching on how the device could work and how it would be developed in the labs. She jumped out of her skin when she heard her office door slam open and looked up to see the last 2 people she wanted to see, her sister and Autumn. Autumn couldn't believe what she was seeing and quickly looked at Charlotte who also looked shocked, sat behind a desk that is covered in papers was a very pale and exhausted looking Violet, who they both saw jump when the door slammed open.

Charlotte and Autumn walked further into the room and saw paper work everywhere and whiteboard in the room with stuff written on it that they both didn't understand or recognise; Charlotte walked towards her sister and couldn't believe how bad she looked, she had dark circles under eye and looked so pale, the last time Charlotte saw her sister like this was 4 years ago. Autumn watched as Charlotte walked over to Violet and heard a quiet "Ettie" come from Charlotte, she walked closer to the sisters and saw Charlotte looked close to tears "Violet come on let's get you home" Autumn said to blonde she was beginning to care about and reached to help Charlotte lift her up on her feet, she wrapped her arms around her when she saw Violet nearly fall over. Charlotte grabbed her sisters belonging when she saw Autum guiding Violet out slowly, she followed behind and closed the office door before turning to Lucy "nobody rings Miss Luthor, she needs to sleep and take some time off" Charlotte explains and watched as Lucy looked at her boss and nodded her head at Charlotte.

Violet felt arms around her waist and it made her body shiver, Autumn felt Violet shiver and brought her closer to her; "Charlotte what is her address" Autumn asked Charlotte once they had got Violet in Autumns car in the backseat "its 10 minutes away from here" Charlotte said to her "here you drive since you know where to go, I'll sit in the back with her" Autumn said shocking Charlotte and passing her car keys to Charlotte and climbed into the back with Violet. Charlotte quickly droved to her sister's house, Charlotte pulled into the parking spot that is reserved for her car normally it comes in handy when your sister owns the apartment building and gives her family all their own spots in the car park. Charlotte parked the car and got out the front and helped Autumn get her sister out the car it was struggle but they managed it, they walked into the apartment building and to the lift and up to the penthouse suite when Charlotte typed in the code to get to her siters suite.

Violet let Autumn go when they got into her apartment and she walked towards the couch and fell on it and fell asleep quiet quickly, Charlotte and Autumn followed Violet and watched as Violet basically collapsed on the couch still fully clothed and with her shoes on. Charlotte walked towards the bedroom and walked in to her sister closet and grabbed a navy-blue night gown and walked back to living room and saw Autumn sat next to her sister and was looking around from where she was sat. Autumn heard Charlotte walk back into the living room and saw her holding a night gown in her hands, Autumn got up and walked to leave the room so Charlotte can change her sister "I'll be in the kitchen, give me a shout when you have got her changed" she told her whilst she walked into the kitchen, whilst she was in the kitchen she had look for stuff to make food and when she opened the cupboards and fridge she wasn't as surprised to see nothing in them. She leant against the counter and started to think about how Violet lived like this, and how she dressed and she figured that she is rich but she knows that Charlottes family doesn't come from money. She broken out of her thoughts by being called by Charlotte, she walked in and saw Violet changed in the most gorgeous navy-blue night gown, she had her face cleared of makeup and her blonde hair was down, Autumn felt she was staring at a goddess and felt her breath get caught in her throat.
