Chapter 26

It was the morning of the ball and Violet was up bright and early, she quickly got out the bed and woke up Autumn to let her know she was leaving to make sure that every thing was being set up for the part tonight; she went to check on the preparations for the ball and made sure everything was running smooth at the venue, she arrived and quickly found Lucy who was making sure everything was being set up in the correct place "morning Lucy, is everything come together" she asked when she was near Lucy "Morning Miss Luthor, everything is nearly done, all that is needed is for everyone to turn up and get the ball started" Lucy explained and looked at her watch it was nearly after 10am and the ball started at 7pm but everyone would start to turn around 6:30 and then Violet turns up at 7pm to announce the ball has started and does a quick speech. Violet and Lucy walked around the venue and Violet makes sure everything is perfect before looking at the time and seeing it was 3pm "Lucy I need to go, you should as well to get ready I will see back here in 4 hours" Violet says and her and Lucy split ways and go and get ready.

Violet got home around 4pm due to traffic and rushes in so she can start getting ready "Autumn I'm back sorry I was gone so long" she shouts through the house and hears Autumn reply from upstairs "it's okay baby, I have just got out the shower and to make a snack, do you want anything" Violet walks up and sees Autumn sat on the bed freshly showered in a towel "sure can I have a jam sandwich I don't want something big since we will be eating at the venue" she asked and walked into the shower and got undressed and stepped in washing her body and hair. Once she was clean she stepped out and walked back into their bedroom to see Autumn walk in with a plate of food for her "here you go babe" Autumn said to her and handed the plate to her "thanks babe" she took the plate and quickly ate the sandwich before drying her hair with the hair dryer and styled her hair into a bun with some fake berries in the middle of the bun to make it more festive, she watched as Autumn did her own hair and makeup in the mirror and smiled at girlfriend thinking how lucky she was to have her. Violet moved on to her makeup and quickly did it she glanced at the time and noticed that time was flying by and it was now 5:30 and they had to leave by 6:15 to get there for 7pm, she finished her make up and got up and walked to where her and Autumns outfit was hung up, she handed Autumn her suit and grabbed her dress she opened the garment bag and saw a off the shoulders black dress that showed off her assets in the right ways, she got it customed made like everyone's outfits are and quickly put it on making sure she didn't ruin her hair or make up she heard a soft gasp and turned to see Autumn stood there in her customed made suit with a white shirt and black tie, it was the same suit that Sorscha would be wearing since they had women suits made for the event "babe you look stunning" she heard Autumn whisper, she walked over to the woman and gently pulled her closer "and you mi amore look marvellous in that suit" she whispered back to her before walking away to grab her black Louis Vuitton heels and put them on "you ready to go, we need to leave to beat the traffic" she heard Autumn ask her and gently took her hand and led her down the stairs to the limousine waiting for them.

They arrived to the venue with 5 minutes to spare, Lucy guided them to the back where they would walk in and Violet would give a speech and then the party would commence until midnight. All their friend and family had arrived and was mingling waiting for them and since her family hadn't been before they don't know how this works, they see Violets assistant walk towards the doors and opens them and everyone watches as Violet walk in with Autumn and nobody has seen a more powerful looking couple, they see flashes of cameras go off and watch as Violet kisses Autumn who walks towards their family and friends whilst Violet walks towards the stage, this is the first time that everyone is seeing Violet as CEO, sure they have seen her in her office or on the phone but this is the first time they are seeing her in action. They watch as Violet walks on to the stage and holds a microphone "Good evening ladies and gentleman, thank you for all attending the annual charity ball that Biocorp hosts every year. This year the charity that we are raising money for a charity that helps young children and teens with battling Leukaemia, the amazing people at the hospital and volunteers work hard every day of the year to make sure that these children have the best time whilst battling this horrendous disease. Biocorp is honoured to donate all the equipment to help get children diagnosed quicker so they have a better chance to fight the disease by getting the correct treatment earlier" Violet said and Claire and Daniel watched as their little girl spoke with passion and were proud to call her their daughter, they knew that Violet didn't let them see this side off her because she wanted to just be their daughter "I have met with the head of the cancer ward at the children's hospital to see what Biocorp could do to help them further and Dr Kelly told me that they just wanted to make sure the kids had the best experience when they were stuck in the hospital, so over the last few months I have been working on something that I hope all the families at the hospital would love and use; that's why today I would like to announce that over the last month Biocorp with the board members of the hospital has renovated one of the unused rooms in the ward and have designed and built a soft play area for all the children and renovated another room into a games room fully equipped with the last consoles and all the board games anyone could think off" Violet carried on "also on the top of this on the behalf of Biocorp I have donated 2.2 million to the charity and I hope everyone here tonight donates every little helps, so thank you for coming and I hope everyone has a wonderful evening, to my employees who are here I wish the merriest of Christmas and I will see you all in the new year" Violet finished before walking off the stage with the help of Lucy.
